Push Square: "Those of you looking for something to ape around with in your spare time need look no further than Chimpact, an upcoming PlayStation Mobile title that sees you propelling primates around increasingly complex jungle mazes in order to score points. The title promises addictive one-touch gameplay that’s 'easy to play, but fun to master'."
From GI.biz: "Team17 has kicked off the new year with an acquisition, bringing Yippee Entertainment into the fold.
The deal amounts to around £1.4 million, through a combination of £922,407 in cash and £433,200 worth of consideration shares (114,000)."
Push Square: "Chimpact is a fantastic little game and a great addition to the rapidly increasing PlayStation Mobile catalogue. There’s a wealth of entertaining content that’ll keep you coming back for more, and, even if you get frustrated, you’re frequently showered with in-game achievements, which provides the necessary encouragement for one more go. It may openly ape other games in the genre, at times drive you bananas, and leave you hanging around while you reload a stage, but it’s chimply marvellous, and a primate candidate for mobile gaming. Just punderful."
Ian Fisher writes: Providing an almost puzzle like take on the platforming genre, Chimpact is a fairly straightforward and pleasant PlayStation Mobile game that thankfully doesn’t falter with its focus on touch controls. The amount of content within the game somewhat bleeds together as things are similar, despite the addition of secondary content which has only minimal effects on the experience, but as a simple PSM game Chimpact is worth your time if you just want to have an easy going gaming experience.
Sony really need to integrate psn to these psmobile games (trophies, scoreboards, online play over psn) and i think more people will jump into psmobile games.
