What happens when one of the industry’s hottest developers revives an old and forgotten franchise? You end up with the amazing DmC: Devil May Cry. The once great Capcom series has been reborn and saved from the dustbin of history thanks to Ninja Theory’s creative efforts. All of the hate and vitriol that this game has received since being announced has been completely unwarranted. DmC is arguably the strongest Devil May Cry game to be released and may possibly be the best game that Ninja Theory has ever developed.
It's been six years since Capcom dropped Devil May Cry 5, but it's still more than worth replaying in 2025 thanks to its rich gameplay.
Because the anime is on Netflix and we gotta ride that DMC in the news again wave.
It’s been sitting in my backlog for a while now. One of the first games I wanted to try for this current gen due to the long load times of previous gen. I’ll get around to it soon!
Everytime its on sale I think about buying it but never do. I only played the orginal and somr of 3 so I guess that's part of it.
Steam's Summer Sale looks primed for Steam Deck players - with a huge collection of titles on offer for the handheld.
VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "Upon finally finishing Devil May Cry 5 recently - after it spent several years on my “I’ll play that soon” list - I considered giving it a fittingly-named Late Look article. However, considering that this was indeed the final piece I was missing in the DMC puzzle, I decided to instead take this opportunity to take a look back at the entirety of this genre-defining series and rank the entries. What also made this a particularly tempting notion was that while most high-profile series have developed fairly evenly over time, with a few bumps on the road, the history of Devil May Cry has, at least in my eyes, been an absolute roller coaster, with everything from total disasters to action game gold."
3,1,4,5 to me, never played 2. 5 gameplay is amazing but level design was really disappointing to me, just a bunch of plain arenas, the story felt like a worse written rehash of the 3rd and the charater models looked weird ( specially the ladies ). Another problem with 5 was that there was not enough content for 3 charaters so I could never really familiarize with any of them

God DMC2 was an awful game.
And in case this isn't obvious it goes worst to best
Order changes depending on your focus. I tend to focus on gameplay/fun factor, so...
5, 3, 1, 4, 2.
I really didn't like 4 but commend Dante's weapon diversity. The retreading of old ground was pretty unacceptable to me.
But even then... Still more enjoyable than 2 for me

"You can connect most moves together which gives you the freedom to do your own combos. This is much better than the rigid combo system of the previous games."
Jesus... WHAT?!?
"Cons
•Prices of items go up whenever you make a purchase"
How the hell is that even a con? I mean, sure, it's blatantly obvious that this guy is a casual player that praises lowered difficulty and counts it as a pro but come on... It never even caused a problem in my very first DMD playthrough in Devil May Cry 3 let alone my very first playthrough of DmC (which was on Nephilim).
Edit: I just checked another review (Borderlands 2), and look what one of the "pro's" was;
+ Awesome Easter eggs and memes

"Thank you for reading our reviews. :D"
Might as well have said; "Thanks for the hits."
