"Consumers all but await the promise of new Nintendo software, and for some of us, not just any software, but something we’ve all been longing for. Something… familiar and ground-breaking all at once. Something like… Pokemon." Wii U Daily
It's amazing how quick people in this industry are to call that a system, franchise, or game needs saving. It hasn't been two months since the Wii U has been released, but here we are with more articles. Is it just a trick to get more hits?
it's a new console, it's okay to hate on it -_- Remember all the PS Vita articles? Before that the 3DS? Guess which two systems got the hate before them? It'll be the exact same thing with the next xbox and PS, and in fact with rumors going around it's already started happening in small bursts.
Well, that's true and sad fact of the gaming community, IMO.
Well said. There is a reason you have so many bubbles.
The interesting thing is how people react to these articles and how they will support one company and not as much as another. Will those who are quick to jump on negative Vita articles do the same here for example? The media is partially to blame for influencing gamers to act the way they do. We are being trained to be pessimistic. Negativity sells, it's that simple.
My thoughts exactly.... I don't even own a wiiU, I will after price cut but its far too early to say if this system needs saving. It's too early for the vita and that's almost a year old. You can't start talking numbers until its first price cut IMO. All systems sell bad in the beginning after price cut sales shift and then we would see if its successful or not. Look at the 3ds 250$ dollars when released... Sold terrible ... So terrible it broke the record for fastest price drop after launch. After said price drop its selling more that all systems. No more doom articles... It's still lacking in games for a almost 3years old system but still top seller. After a price drop the wiiu will be good. It's only hiccup is its price and the fact that ps4 and nextbox will be more powerful. The wii was in the same boat and sold better but I may not buy a wiiU if its gunna sit and collect dust like my wii did.
oh cut the crap on the 3DS selling terrible at $250. It sold just barely below par, but it still sold well at $250. Way better than the Vita is doing now.
Wow I never said a word about the vita. I don't think there a word in my comment that has the letter "V" in it. I'm no fan boy so I won't comment on your flame bait but I will say the 3ds did sell terrible compared to after the cut. If not then why cut it? Simple
Can we please stop with this "save the Wii U" rhetoric? The Wii U is not currently in need of saving. It's the same context as a doom and gloom article but worded more colorfully. Please stop.
What I hate is when gamers complain about the tiniest things and in ways that make no since. Like, I saw one guy say the top of Wii game boxes were bad because they were white. What's so bad about the color white? And, I've heard several people complain about the Wii and Wii U having music on their main menus. Not because they have annoying music, but because they have music in general. What is that about? Let's just hope in 20 years gamers don't complain about the gun being used in the game is too short or the opening credits were too long.
a lot of gamers are crybabies these days.
Probably not. It seems destined to fail. The game library and soon to be released games are all pretty terrible.

for ****'s sake, it's only been out for about 2 months! asjkhsdahklghaklsghlkfgaaa
N4G need saving with these dumb he said she said articles.
Did Pokemon save the Gamecube?
At least give it four months before going on the whole dying BS. Also Nintendo fanboys stop playing the victims cause you are always the first to be laughing at other consoles. N4G is so bad, but you're still here. Pathetic much ?
Double post. Pokemon is coming to the Wii U eventually, no ####.
Smh at how the Wii U is blacklisted for no reason.
Pokemon? i played it before and couldn't see what the fuss was about, pretty boring actually. Custom Robo arena on DS was good though, at least you actually control your fights.
no because its a 3ds title
I never cared for Pokemon, but I'm sure it'll be great. There's so many other topics I'd rather be talking about. GOTTA CATCH 'EM ALL!!
Don't care for Pokemon games, well I did play Snap, I did not read the article. Pokemon is one of the few Nintendo IP's I don't care much for. That one and Animal Crossing, but Animal Crossing on Wii U, might be worth playing.
I sometimes picture Iwata reading these articles while swimming in his golden pool, laughing his a** off...
It would go something like this: Iwata sitting in a pool of money relaxing like its a jacuzzi and Reggie walks in with a smart phone in his hand and asks "wanna hear a funny joke?" Iwata takes a sip of his drink in a martini type glass and smiles at reggie "sure" he replies. Reggie hands iwata his phone and he sees the name of the article. He stares at it for a short while and slowing transitions from a smile to a hard over the top laugh, and they both laugh until Miyamoto walks in speaking his famous broken engrish. "The new game uh iz raydee" clearing meaning to say the new game is ready, iwata and Reggie look at each other and nod and agreement and both say "E3" to be continued................
They must of copied that from GamersBliss.com
lol why would pokemon be saving the wiiu , the wiiu is not the psvita...the wiiu is actually getting close to 3 million systems in just two months.....if anything any big games will make wiiu hard to catch up to
It would certainly help if they were to ever consider releasing it on the Wii U but the console is far from being saved. For Pete's sake it's only been a couple of months since it was released. I'm not sure if it's possible but I could see a Pokedex app being released for the Wii U in order to promote the handheld game.
