Neocrisis: Are Videogames To Blame?

Early yesterday morning in NewTown Connecticut a deranged 20 year old man broke into Sandy Hook Elem. School, and opened fire on children and staff. After all the smoke settled 26 people were killed; 20 of which were sadly small children.Fox News would have you believe video games are at least partially to blame. Unlike Fox News which actually named the wrong man in the slaying (without waiting for proper confirmation) Neocrisis will only report on facts. These are facts…

I'm amazed at many of the comments when it comes to accusations like these. Often, the first thing they say is, "well I've played violent games all my life & I don't kill anyone".

Yet, people don't do their due diligence and REALLY researched the topic of mind control, subconscious mind programming & brainwashing... hint; repetitiveness is the key! It's real & many governments (especially the US gov) knows this.

Have you even watched someone who's been on a gaming binge for days on end, without proper rest & nourishment. They change... not all will go as far as a killing rampage, but they do get more aggressive and are dazed & confused, they're very impressionable & can be convinced to do things they wouldn't normally do if they were well rested & nourished.

In many of the conflicts of the 20 century (especially WWII), the prisoners of war have gone through many of the brainwashing technique I mentioned above, to give up what they knowledge they have to the enemy. That was on a small scale. Now we do it to ourselves willingly on a massive scale.

The people at the top who own these media outlets and/or are in the media know this... why do you think Ted Turner & Madonna don't allow their kids to watch any TV/movies or play video games. You should search those interviews, very interesting.

Why do you think it's called "Tele-vision PROGRAMMING", that's not by accident, that's by design.

Do some real research... you'll be shocked at what results you find. A good place to start is finding out what was the very first image was used when the very first television was invented.

If you would actually read the article you would see that neocrisis is not blaming games, but rather bad parenting. Next time show some respect and actually read the article before commenting on the article.

BenRage32350d ago

Agreed. That's the most illuminating part of the article. I used to work for a video game store and I can't tell you how many parents I saw daily that were buying Grand Theft Auto for their ten year old.

NO! Not videogames BUT this WHOLE, "ERMAHGERD, THE WORLD IS GONNA END THIS FRIDAY!" is to blame. All the Crazy fcks are coming out of the woodwork!

Hellsvacancy2350d ago (Edited 2350d ago )

Ive been playing Sonic Adventure with my daughter today, and now I feel like going outside and start jumping on people and stealing rings from jewellery shops

Bored, weak minded people are to blame for this sort of violence

The firearm laws in the US dont help the matter either

"Fox News wants you to believe you’re defenseless, and video games are of the devil."

"Are there people who should not play video games? Absolutely, but does that mean we ban video games or regulate them harshly? No, video games need to be treated with the same respect as movies."

Ok, I am not a fan of Fox News, but people are taking this way out of propportion, unless someone at Fox said something else like this and I didn't hear.

The man said that certain media outlets can probably effect disturbed, DISTURBED, people in a negative way. He didn't say we should ban video games, or any of the other things the writer mentioned, he only said that it could set off a disturbed person. Fox News have done some stupid things, but don't get all angry at them when they don't do anything.

Seriously, how in the world do you get video games being from the devil from that one quote? Nonsense...

That said, I do agree about the parenting, which most parents are doing a poor job of unfortunately. Parents need to be more attentive to their kids and make better judgement. I know a couple right now who have a teenage son who seems to have some kind of mental problem, he can't control his emotions and will start yelling and swinging at the drop of a pen. He needs help, but they may end up putting it off until he hurts one of them.

"Seriously, how in the world do you get video games being from the devil from that one quote? Nonsense..."

Have you ever heard of a saying, "the greatest trick the devil ever pulled off, was convincing the world he didn't exist"... it's not just a saying. When you draw your last breath, you as all of us will finally know the absolute truth... good & bad!

Video games were derived from television + computers. If you can fine the root of where those two came from, you'll find your "nonsense".

Again, take the time to research properly and you'll find your answers.

Just to note:
We've ALL (everyone) been programmed to think a certain way from birth, From the richest man in the world to the poorest man. Everything you've ever been taught, told, watched, played, practiced & been exposed too since birth... from your language to what you eat. The problem is most people refuse to even realized that they have been programmed to think a certain way all their lives.

The very first television image ever created was this;
