MMGN.com - 2012 is a blessing for gamers; stop your whining

MMGN.com: "I’m going to be frank here -- I am astonished by those who constantly feel the need to tell me that this year has been shocking for gamers. On this very site, I’ve seen cries of disappointment at 2012’s offerings, and I simply can’t make sense of it. 2012 really has been one of the best of the millennium for gamers -- anyone who denies this is trolling or blind."

The brightside is, this year it's actually possible to play all the games you really want without being crushed under a mountain of backlog.

There were honestly some GREAT games this year.

Mass Effect 3 concluding an amazing trilogy.

Creative new IPs like Dishonored (yeah, I know, Bioshock, but still).

Incredible Indie games like Journey.

Episodic games like The Walking Dead.

Fantastic launch lineup for the Vita, and a recent surge of new content and worthy updates.

Say what you want about 2012 but the only thing bitching about it is my poor, poor, poor wallet...

Edit: and Halo 4. And Assassin's Creed 3. I'm gonna stop thinking now before I update this another hundred times.

Edit #2: Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale.

The Walking Dead alone is a reason why this year was great. The AAA titles weren't as great, sure..but dem downloadable titles like Journey, Fez, and the walking dead are top 10 games of the generation candidates as far as im concerned,

Completely agree. This year and the past couple have been great. My backlog is getting bigger and bigger and it was something that I didnt want to do this gen but I cant help it. Such quality games coming out. With that being said, a lot of these gamers need to get off their high horse and respect the industry for more than just COD. Gaming is not all about co op, multiplayer and shooting at people. Remember what these devs to make these games. You know that bush you just passed? Some person worked their ass off to make it look as real as possible and to fit within the world they created. Granted some do it better than other, but remember...
