Still in stock at Walmart in my city. They had both models at Target when I went at 4:00PM yesterday.

Bigger cities probably aren't so lucky though.

Not sure how they come up with this? They are readily available everywhere I am. Either Nintendo produced more or no one is buying up as many like last time...... I do own one myself though.

I am waiting to see how it sells here in the UK. If it sells out then you know it is doing well. We haven't had gaming hardware sell out here since Kinect came out. Would be nice to see the UK eating something up again.

A few local stores in my town has them in stock, since late last week...

But I guess the Toys R Us & huge carriers may be sold out.
Bit yeah, I plan to get mines on Thursday.

What console isn't sold out at launch? Even the PS3 with it's high price tag was sold out at launch.

That's Cuz Sony only shipped like 400k to America. 400k only covers California to put it to perspective. It was sold for 1000-1500 on eBay at the time.

Wasn't even replenished until after Christmas.

I don't remember the exact number so don't shoot me in the head if I'm off by a few k.

EDIT: I think 400k got cut to 200k due to production issues at the time. Originally announced to be 400 but actual shipment was 200

Well that's hardly a surprise then, however it was still sold out.

But, really, not many consoles are not sold out at launch. The hardcore need them at the beginning for whatever reason.

Nice try. I saw a couple of them at my local Target. Haven't bothered looking elsewhere. I believe the reason they're still up on the shelf has to do with people not being able to scalp prices in ebay due to supply > demand.

i called up my local Target and they said, we had 179 deluxe and 401 regular for sale

No one sold out in our area. The average consumer is confused. They see it as a controller for the Wii. I predict a fifty dollar price drop in March. People will forget Wii U by then, GTA V?..
