"DICE isn’t EA’s only triple-A game development studio in Sweden, now that a new company has recently made itself known.
Going by the name of Ghost, the studio is located in Gothenburg, Sweden (hence the developer’s other moniker, EA Gothenburg), and is currently being built and staffed by experienced game developer Marcus Nilsson, who previously worked on the Battlefield franchise with DICE."
From GI.biz: "EA will return the Need for Speed franchise to UK games studio Criterion.
Current franchise leader Ghost Games in Gothenburg is set to become EA Gothenburg once again (pending Swedish Union approval). The studio will refocus itself as an engineering hub supporting development across EA's portfolio. EA told GamesIndustry.biz that: "The engineering expertise in our Gothenburg team, some of whom are architects of the Frostbite engine, is vital to a number of our ongoing projects, and they would remain in that location."
We want another Burnout!! Remaster Takedown and/or Revenge please! Give us VR versions.
Is there an actual Criterion to go back to, or is it just a front name for a group of unaffiliated devs?
John Wikberg, game's producer, and Yoni Rabinowitz, its lead designer, ralked with Sector at Gamescom about Need for Speed Heat.
I haven't played a Need for Speed game for ages, but I'm really excited about this one.
Former FIFA boss David Rutter has relocated to Sweden to oversee EA’s European studios including DICE, Criterion and Ghost Games, VGC understands.
"EA’s European studios including DICE, Criterion and Ghost Games"
To what? See how they can use FIFAs monetisation crap in every other games ¬¬
will probably add fuel to planes and tanks etc where if you run out you have chance to buy more during the game and charge for bullets like paintball
Sweden? I guess there's no kick ass developers in America.
