2,000 UK shops will be open for Call of Duty: Black Ops II's midnight launch

MCV - One online indie may have broken the street date, but that will do little to dampen Monday's excitement for the Call of Duty midnight launch.

Around 2,000 UK shops are to be open from midnight on Monday to celebrate Black Ops II officially going on sale.

It's the 'greatest ever number of stores due to open their doors for the launch of any Call of Duty title to date' says Activision and comes courtesy of 'unprecedented support from retail partners'.

The story is too old to be commented.

A friend of mine queued up at midnight for MW2, when he got home he went straight to bed!

I'm actually getting this for the Campaign and Zombies..

Yep and I shall be in bed tucked up warm paying a lower price thanks to online sales..... The high street is becoming a dead market with rip off prices.

I might pop to Gamestation at midnight and petrol bomb it at 11.59pm. That way I should catch a higher number of 12 year old CoD fanatics along with the game itself.

I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure. ;)

Oh nice Aliens reference. :D haha, that was the contingency plan!

So tempted to go there with some friends and spark discussions about how Halo takes more skill just to troll the losers in the queue.. what a sad life I lead.
