Today marks the 8th anniversary of one of the most popular high-fantasy MMOs ever made, EverQuest II. Praised for its constant evolution, EverQuest II will be adding even more content and features to the game on November 13th with the launch of its ninth expansion, Chains of Eternity.
To give players an idea of what’s to come, SOE has released a video where Producer Holly Longdale and team (Senior Animator Tom Tobey, Senior Artist Tad Ehrlich, Game Designer Carlos Mora and Environment Artist Rick Randolph) walk Norrathians through the new dungeons, including the Egyptian- and Mayan- influenced Temple of the Faceless, Drinal’s Citadel — the home of the god of the afterlife — and Wurmbone Crag where ravenous ratmen run along the ramps and shelters in a deep valley. The video also show off creatures such as the god Drinal himself, from the Chains of Eternity expansion.
Earlier this month, Everquest 2 announced a new loot box system that bypassed lockouts and provided the chance to buy more opportunities at raid gear through the cash shop.
Beta testing for the Visions of Vetrovia expansion of Darkpaw Games’ MMO EverQuest 2 is under way and now available to those who purchase one of the four available editions.
In a press release, EG7 Global announced to have entered into an agreement to acquire 100% shares of Daybreak Game Company for $300 million.
