TouchGen: The AppStore seems to have the lion’s share of shooters these days. CAVE have the whole bullet hell genre sewn up, but apart from a few fixed gun asteroid shooters out there, or action based open-worlders like Galaxy On Fire, nothing has come close to offering up a solid 3D arcade shooter of the likes of Nintendo’s Starfox.
AppsGoer writes:"There are a great number of iOS games hitting the App Store on October 27. Some soft-launched, but most of them look amazing. This list includes Pocket Titans, Rabbids Big Bang, Hello Hero, Motocross Meltdown, Sensei Wars, and ARC Squadron: Redux."
Following critical acclaim for last year's ARC Squadron game, independent development studio, Psyonix, today announced ARC Squadron: Redux for iOS and Android that features a new streamlined game progression with improved performance and graphics and is now free forever.
GameDynamo - "I have been yearning to play an on-rails, arcade-style shooter akin to the classic Star Fox formula – before plodding foot-missions and crazy dinosaur adventures got involved – for years now. Since Nintendo has been hesitant to promote their furry space-faring protagonist with a new game despite their newly released and capable hardware, I have been encouraged to find my fix elsewhere. Luckily, the developers at Psyonix have taken their talents the ubiquitous mobile game route to fill that very distinct void with ARC Squadron. "
