Ene3.com published new King of Fighters XII screenshots. Enjoy.
NEED High res version of that!! But from that one it looks like they've touched Garou MOTW/SF3 animation in the KOF series, eff yeah!! Even though the character designs look the same the sprites look sharper.
I had my suspicions that the sprites had been updated but wasn't sure because the movie played as one big blurry flicker =/ Yeah a high res vers would be grand!
I hope this game will be better than 11 =O 2000 was the greatest :/ woah so much great fighting games coming this/next year for the ps3 oO
This is how SF 4 supposed to look...THANK YOU SNK FOR MAINTAINING TO INTEGRITY OF 2D HAND DRAWN SPRITES..I WILL BUY THIS GAME
thats exactly what im saying. WTF is wrong with capcom?
soooooooooo last gen... whats up with that!
well I hope the final boss in this one is beatable. I still can't beat the last one in KOF 11. Cheap @$$
Iori Yagami is the best. :)
sweet I hope this game comes out soon im ready to kick some ass with terry again also when is the next guilty gear coming out imo they have the most impressive sprite models
I'm guessing PS3, Xbox 360, and Arcade releases?
Arcade this year, PS3 early next year and they dont know if they are going to do a 360 version (it is under speculation)
As a KOF whore you can see there is a definite improvement from the fact that just by looking at the more fluid animations there is at least 50-100% more spites per character and aparently they are of a much high res even if the low quality of the video of the trailer couldn't 100% confirm it good to see companies that still want to mantain the quality of 2D ...instead of going the easy way...3D...cellshaded 3D...(hint..hint) XD
Yeah you can REALLY see it in Kyo and Ash's animations, it looks dope.
Yeah Ok, this looks like an updated version of a NG KoF game. But seriously, where is the the immense amount of time they said they invested to develop this title ? I'd buy this, but not full price. If i want to play some last-gen 2D fighter, i download it (XBL/PSN) or buy the PS2/Xbox version. Enough for me. @others Go on and complain more about Capcom trying to do something new. At least SNK gives the haters what they are crying for.
Capcom's not doing anything new, they're making SF EX4 with better graphics and tweaked gameplay mechanics. Check the attached video of EX3 and tell me SF4 doesn't look like the next EX. As far as KOF is concerned I admit this is a low res video and the sprites have the same design, but you can see they have higher animation frames. And from the blurry (hah) zoom ins, you can see they're not pixelated like the old sprites.
Im still playing the crap outta KoF XI. But the character sprites look nice though, A day one purchase for sure no doubt.
have you seen the gameplay of SF4?? It looks like SF 3rd Strike, just with more supers. And more supers was needed badly for that particular game. SF4 has a parry style system in place and high jumps in place. If you think that SF4 is anything like EX3 (which I still play) then your mistaken. EX3 has a frentic pace to it, while SF4 looks to have a 3rd Strike/SF2 pace to it imho.
Yeah I've been following SF4 closely since before the announcement. There was an interview back in 01 when Capcom was talking about SF4 on IGN that no one believed me about (it's still there) and I held onto hope for 6 more years. I'm still on the fence about it, 3rd Strike is still my favorite fighting game of all time. I did spend about a year or so playing the EX series and while it was fun for a while it didn't have that kinetic depth and longevity of 3rd Strike and the Alpha series. I'm hoping to all hell that SF4 kicks ass, regardless of whatever I'm buying it anyway but it's still looking like Ono made a SFII Era EX game just without Arika.
blazeblue destroys competition, seriously, watch the trailer on youtube, the visuals are amazing especially the background. gameplay looks tight too, whats expected from guilty gear creators anyway? lol
