its no secret that capcom has low quality standards...

Baka-akaB4194d ago

They have a game to sell , they'd be happy with the textures of a bathroom stain if need be .

Tibbers4194d ago

That's probably the worst excuse for 30fps I've ever read. Also Dragon's Dogma didn't run with 30fps (especially the PS3 with 24-28fps pretty much all the time)

Zichu4194d ago

Wow... People will turn things around just to create an argument. If they say they have come up with a technique can trick the brain into thinking it's 60 fps, then let them say that.

Not everything has to be 60 fps to look smooth and amazing... If they can create smooth animations within a limit of 30 frames, I don't see the problem...

"Not everything has to be 60 fps to look smooth and amazing..."

Yet when the series evolved into a 60fps franchise which amazed us there supposed to expand on that...not take two steps back.

Tricks, simulating and imitating are words you rather not hear when it comes to anything visual, sort of like how people have apps and things that make their smart phone imitate 3D, but its never as good or sometimes not even close to the actually screen built for 3D. When its comes to framerate, that is something I would want the real thing (in this case 60 fps) because if you look at Battlefield 3 on consoles, that has very smooth animations and can be seen as almost 60 fps, but it is noticably not, especially when you see the PC version. With 60 fps a game may not look the greatest in a screenshot, but in motion it can seem visually better than other games, sort of how Devil May Cry 4 graphics seem really good next to this new game, because the 60 fps compensates for a lot of what someone would say the game may be lacking when in screenshots (Metal Gear Rising is an example).

Of course they are, because they probably had a smaller budget for that department lol

Ranking the Devil May Cry Series

VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "Upon finally finishing Devil May Cry 5 recently - after it spent several years on my “I’ll play that soon” list - I considered giving it a fittingly-named Late Look article. However, considering that this was indeed the final piece I was missing in the DMC puzzle, I decided to instead take this opportunity to take a look back at the entirety of this genre-defining series and rank the entries. What also made this a particularly tempting notion was that while most high-profile series have developed fairly evenly over time, with a few bumps on the road, the history of Devil May Cry has, at least in my eyes, been an absolute roller coaster, with everything from total disasters to action game gold."

First to last for me...3,4,5,1,2.

VersusDMC11d ago

Me leaving it out should be telling of my thoughts on it. Better than 2 as a DMC game.

Still a good game though.

What a weird name, it's essentially devil may cry, devil may cry lol

Best to good for me: 3, reboot, 1, 5

2 and 4 are trash, didnt like any of them.
5 has very good gameplay variety but i hated the foes.. it is just insects the whole time. Reboot has the best foes for me

Friendlygamer11d ago

3,1,4,5 to me, never played 2. 5 gameplay is amazing but level design was really disappointing to me, just a bunch of plain arenas, the story felt like a worse written rehash of the 3rd and the charater models looked weird ( specially the ladies ). Another problem with 5 was that there was not enough content for 3 charaters so I could never really familiarize with any of them

2.
Dmc.
4.
5.
1.
3.

God DMC2 was an awful game.
And in case this isn't obvious it goes worst to best

Yui_Suzumiya11d ago

1 and DmC. The rest are unimportant.

DarXyde11d ago

Order changes depending on your focus. I tend to focus on gameplay/fun factor, so...

5, 3, 1, 4, 2.

I really didn't like 4 but commend Dante's weapon diversity. The retreading of old ground was pretty unacceptable to me.

But even then... Still more enjoyable than 2 for me

SeTTriP10d ago

This right here is my order as I thought DMC 5 was amazing and obviously 3 comes after 4 was great and 1 for the nastilgic value it holds 2 was so terrible that my local GameStop gave full refunds to people who returned it.

fine with me, I play these kinda rpg's solo anyway. With co-op I always feel like I'm on a timer and can't explore everything I want to and take my time because I don't wanna make the other person wait.

jznrpg43d ago

The first game wasn’t co-op. Fans of the first game weren’t asking for co-op. You have pawns to make up your party so you can have full control playing solo.

8bitAssassin43d ago

Having at least one human buddy to join your game as your pawn would be dope, but I'm not complaining.
