It's not coming for Vita or PSP either.

a_bro2177d ago

technically its coming to the vita. but of course it doesnt look like a convincing game..

whoa,please dont tell me your counting that piece of garbage as a call of duty game,not that call of duty games aren't that great to begin with.

Well, it does make sense. While the CoD games on the Wii sold pretty well for third-party games, they most likely required a different team, which is soemwhat counter-productive. The DS games on the other hand, were rather porrly designed (in my opinion) and probably won't be missed. Black Ops 2 will be released on PC, PS3, X360 and Wii U and will, for the most part, be the exact same game on all platforms; which is for the best.

Who knows, depending on the reception of Black Ops Delassified on the Vita, we might actually see the next CoD on the Vita, rather than a rehash of a 2 years old game.

I still find it odd that;

1) Despite yearly ds games NO ds/3ds version was made, especially with the capability to have CoD 3ds w/circle pad pro bundles

2) Despite Sony getting and Exclusive handheld CoD Activision couldn't be bothered to make it themselves, instead only granting the license

It all seems very suspicious to me...

Welshy2177d ago

What seems suspicious? I s there some kind of big conspiracy we're missing?

I think it's Acti actually doing the right thing (for once!) and focusing on the real game and not just cheap knock-offs from other teams with a license to milk those extra $$$ from the COD name.

Fingers crossed Declassified for Vita doesn't turn out to be just that, i'd actually like a COD on Vita for some quick fun, it just doesn't float my boat anymore on console since MW2.

Think about this; rather than investing in either handheld, especially the Sony handheld with a far worse legacy, they take a payout from Sony to stay away from 3ds(exclusivity to keep from competing with the vita version) Allowing them to watch how the 3ds does while making an immediate profit AND they make money on the CoD license they sold to Sony. Furthermore, if that game takes off they develop the next one themselves.

No loss. No risk on either platform AND immediate profit... sounds a lot like Activision to me.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a CoD Blops2 announced after Christmas.

COD made it to the DS in the past.. Sure it was toned down dramatically & had a T rating but it made it.. Maybe the sales werent profitable enough for them to make another
