In the middle of a piece by Karsten Lund, a longtime IO employee currently at Square Enix Montreal, he casually mentions the following:
"IO Interactive have been doing a very good job of putting the player front and center and have given us some of the most memorable moments in gaming; emergent stories of how players completed missions shared at the water cooler, this to me is the core DNA of a Hitman game. I know how hard that is to create; I was at Io for the last 11 years. Our challenge is obviously to retain that DNA, while establishing ownership in our team and of our game."
In other words: The next Hitman game won't be coming from IO Interactive.
Originally launched in 2011, El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron is coming to Nintendo Switch, so It's time to look back at the original.
Still have my ps3 copies. Bought it at launch and another one when I found it cheap and in perfect condition about 10 years ago. I wouldn’t buy it on Switch but if they made a PS5 version I would. I still have one of my PS3 Fats hooked up so good to go either way.
Id play it again on the switch. I wished my 360 version was bc but this is still a good way to play.
The artist behind Fallout 4’s Deathclaw reveals just how bad things got back when Bethesda took over the series
People are stupid I get it. No one should feel unsafe,
But I think they need to talk about why they cut so many corners during the development process and why none of their games ever look current. And why they think all of this is okay while they charge full price.
CGM Writes: While we were over at PAX East, we were able to sit down with Goichi Suda (Suda51) and talk about the upcoming remaster of Shadows of the Damned
IF IO DONT DEVELOP IT, IT WONT WORK! THE TEAM BEHIND HITMAN IS THE ONLY REASON IT IS STILL A SUCCESSFUL PROPERTY! SQUARE ENIX WILL RUIN HITMAN JUST LIKE THEY RUIN ALL THEIR OWN FRANCHISES!
Well then, that will be the end of Hitman for me.
I thought it was already known a new dev team would be making a Hitman game, but not once have I heard that IO would be moving on.
Only way that would happen is if Square Enix shuts them down, Hitman is their baby.
I guess we're on the brink of another franchise's destruction? This gen has done this many times.
