Zelda Informer: Darkstalkers has been around since the Saturn/PS days, but hasn’t had a sequel outside of Japan since 2000. The fighting game introduced the 16-bit color animated sprites which Capcom used in later fighting series like Street Fighter Alpha and Marvel vs Capcom. Darkstalkers had managed a large following when several of the games transitioned from arcades to the consoles.
While Capcom hasn’t given much love to the Darkstalkers fighting game series in the past several years, Japanese figure manufacturers haven’t forgotten.
I wish Capcom would take a chance and bring out a new Darkstalkers game.
Maybe this is a way to see if people want more from this franchise and hopefully after this comes out, Capcom will bring a new game out.
Greysun writes: "Capcom recently stated that they plan on utilizing some of their dormant franchises. Here are five of them that we would love to see make a comeback."
Maximo
Beatdown Fists of Vengeance
GODHAND
Okami
Viewtiful Joe
Onimusha
Bionic Commando (but without the weird character redesign)
Final Fight
Clock Tower

Until Dawn, nice. Too bad I already own it, but a must play for others. I guess I will pick up Game of Thrones.
Great month and i'm glad to see Until Dawn since Asia got it a few months back.
I still have Vampire Savior on the Sega Saturn. To this day it remains one of my all time favorite fighting games.
The Saturn also had the best d-pad 2D fighters.
Day one purchase if true.
I have been waiting many years to experience a Darkstalkers title on one of my many Nintendo home platforms. The Nintendo Wii U entertainment system is not a bad place at all to start. Slowly but surly fighting offerings are sprinkling in toward Nintendos next generation home console. I will be more than honored to add the next iteration of Darkstalkers and place it next to my future purchase of Tekken Tag 2, and Injustice Gods Among Us.
As time goes on things seem to become brighter for Nintendo 1st and 3rd party offerings. Especially in the realm of announced, and potential incoming fighters. Capcom has been really good to Nintendo supporters up to this point. Hopefully they can also make this dream for many Darkstalker fans come true sometime in the near future.
Rated E For Everyone
Fans demand Darkstalkers for a console no-one owns.
i dont see why not.. Capcom always gives nintendo love on every console they put out.. Gamecube got RE4 & Viewtiful Joe as a timed exclusive.. Both excellent titles too but since its holding down MH series, they might not get anymore exclusives from em.. As long as u can use the pro controller & or arcade stick, itl be fine.. I just dont see myself playing fighting games on that gamepad.. Tho it will get the job done, u have to be precise & quick with inputs & i dont see that being comfortable on there.. Plus ppl will spam quick commands using the touchscreen which is BS & ineffective against an experienced player leaving no challenge..
Damnit nintendo, i wanna see the online options & how u communicate while playing games on wii u already.. Show me!
yes just bring every top games to the wiiu like nintendo is doing at launch....and by the way for the haters that complain, there are plenty of nintendo owners that has not played those games on other systems...so to say its a port is your personal issue not everyone else's.
