Darkstalkers Resurrection Has Been In Development For A Year

Siliconera- Last week, Capcom announced Darkstalkers Resurrection for Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network. The two-game bundle, which includes updated versions of Night Warriors: Darkstalkers Revenge and Darkstalkers 3, will be released in early 2013 with online play and other enhancements.

Capcom USA’s Senior Vice-President, Christian Svensson, shared today on the company’s official forums that Darkstalkers Resurrection has been in development for about a year, and in planning for even longer.

why didnt they just do an HD remake like SSF turbo? An HD remaster along with the option to play it in its original state would make this bundle much more attractive.. who am i kidding? im still buying this

I think SSFturbo kinda flopped in its own way. People at Udon were just copying and pasting art instead of redrawing the art in their own style.

The other problem the game had was that the art style was good but the animation had too little frames and just makes it look odd.

I dn't understand why they don't just release a proper sequel (HD 2D sprites and maybe 3D backgrounds).

I know I'm gonna buy it, but I wish they would have made a next gen Darkstalkers. Maybe next time!

Relax they are testing us and if the sale are good I can guarantee that we will see a HD version soon.

Althou Capcom has been slipping of late their fighters have always done well! A remake of Darkstalkers and Powerstone would be awesome, just saying!
