Addict of Fiction take a look at Dishonored, and while mentioning the good and bad factors try to scale if the game will live up to the super hype it's given itself.
WolfEye Studios president and co-founder of Arkane Studios Raphaël Colantonio has said Dishonored and Prey fans “will be happy” with his new studio's next game.
Ouch, already placing a sales cap on this is potentially bad as these games never seem to sell all too well. Hopefully the budget is in check so no one gets laid off after launch.
Fuck yeah. Even if it’s just a spiritual successor I want more titles like Dishonored in terms of art style, design and gameplay
"As a developer - and as a player - it's always sad and it always sucks to see studios close and devs lose their jobs. I really hope all those people land on their feet, because I know our indusutry is better with them in it," Patel tells the outlet. "As for me and how I look at things, I guess first and foremost: I don't believe in living in fear," the Avowed director.
Then gets shut down the next day. They should know better than to talk crazy like that.
It’s a shame, really, that so few games have “borrowed” Dishonored’s Blink – in the right hands, such a power could be game-changing.
There was a small game called Aragami that “borrowed” the blink, that was a good game.
Unfortunately I heard the sequel wasn’t good so I stayed away from trying it out.
This isn't really an open honest peek examining the good and the bad. This sounds like someone who wasn't in the right frame of mind to fully evaluate something.
I don't know where the hype is coming from other than having BEthesda's name on it. The game visually looks like crap and has a terrible art style, is trying to hard to play like bioshock but can't, and from watching demos the gameplay seems still and unresponsive (although until I can play it I can't confirm that one), the plot also seems bland and poorly written.
Honestly it seemed like a great concept when it was first announced but after seeing gameplay this quickly turned into a bargin bin purchase when it drops to twenty bucks a couple of weeks after it releases, probably be 20 bucks for black friday.
, it seems like my kind of game, but the gameplay they've shown, just makes the combat look incredibly easy, and either they've shown nothing about the story or I've missed it, but so far the story doesn't seem to be much of a focus.
I'll wait to see more.
I wasn't feeling it before and this reinforces it
@summons75 dude get a life already, you've talked shit on literally every dishonored article. If you hate the game that much stop reading about it
