The Seperation of Single Player and Multiplayer

Let’s give Valve some praise for a moment (even though everyone and their grandma all ready does). Besides the fact that they have released some of the highest quality games of the decade, they also defy many current tropes in the industry that in turn lead to better gaming experience. Take Half-Life for example; by getting rid of cut-scenes and allowing scripted sequences to advance the plot, it helps make the game more immersive by never taking you out of view or control of Mr. Freeman. So why is Charles Johnson on his knees caressing Valve’s big low hanging……ego? Because he wants to talk about their approach on multiplayer.
