Cyanide Studios has announced that it's developing two new video games based on the Confrontation universe, known as Aarklash: Legacy and Dogs of War Online, which will be released in 2013.
Originally created by Rackham, Confrontation is a medieval-fantasy world where several alliances of peoples clash at the dawn of Rag'Narok. Acquired by Cyanide in 2010, this license serves as the basis for both games, which are being developed at the same time.
This is Beta takes a look at the recently released Dogs of War Online in its open beta. General outline and thoughts on the game.
I think this game deserves more credit. I made a nice easy guide to follow along with if you have not at least tried to game. It shows the Lobby/Create Company/1st PvP. My first match ends playing out very nice and shows the dynamics that can really turn the tides of battle.

Aarklash is at war, riven by the incessant struggles between the forces of Light, Darkness and Destiny. Free companies exist within each of these three alliances and they roam the continent in search of glory. Veterans with a sordid past, bandits greedy for riches and other such unsavoury individuals join forces despite their differing characters.
Adapted from the world of the Confrontation miniatures game, Dogs of War Online is a free-to-play multiplayer game, self-published by Cyanide, where you manage your own company of mercenaries. Thirsty for bloody victories, they will have no trouble in finding enemies with whom to engage in turn-based arena combat.
