Touch Arcade: Spectromancer Review

Touch Arcade: If you've played Hothead Games' Kard Combat [Free], it's a safe bet that Three Donkeys' Spectromancer [$1.99 / $3.99 (HD)] is going to seem familiar. Very familiar. It's not just that they're both card-battle games in the same vein as Magic, it's that they have exactly the same rules, play the same way, and while the cards have different names and art, their game stats and abilities are identical.

GDN: Spectromancer Review

Although the basic playability is easy to understand, it did offer a lot to think about with the cards that you have on offer, and certainly something that GDN may look into with future games that they purchase. They can absolutely recommend it to players of all ages from any game background.

Gamers Temple: Spectromancer - Review

This doesn't mean gamers should write Spectromancer off as a lost cause, however. This is just the impression that Spectromancer gives one at first glance: a competent, workmanlike game that never surprises you. If you're looking for a new computer-based card game, this could be it, especially if you don't want to cough up the money for something like Eye of Judgment.
