If the series continues past Assassin’s Creed III, then it may put artistic integrity at risk. Not that the quality of the game play will dip; the writing may suffer. For a series that relies so heavily on a quality storyline, this could be detrimental. Assassin’s Creed IV doesn’t matter right now though. What matters is that on October 30th, Assassin’s Creed III launches, and it looks excellent in many ways, all of my previously mentioned complaints aside. While simplified controls and overtly cinematic elements are things to worry about, mostly we’re being given a well polished, fun game.
