PlayXBLA writes: With all due respect to our friends in the media who like to frequent trademark sites, we thought we’d break this one ourselves. :)

Our legal eagles have authorized us to say: “We have either renewed or refiled a trademark application in various jurisdictions.”

About friggin time! Don't eff this up MS. This is Killer Instinct, not a Kinect Game.

Septic2220d ago

Oh wow....big news.

I hope its a next gen title. Imagine having this at launch for the 720! Although, let's hope it isn't as underwhelming as PDZ was launch.

Let's hope this is happening either way.

So what happens if the trailer's end tag is, "Only through the power of Kinect"?

I'm guessing something that makes the Bayonetta-Wiiu blow up look like nothing.

I wish Nintendo could get their hands back on Rare. I don't trust Microsoft with this game. I like my 360, but I have a bad feeling they're going to add some Kinect garbage to it.

Or turn it into a vehicle building game...

Insomnia_842220d ago

If this is a new Killer Instinct, I'll finally buy a 360. At least I woud now have two reasons to get it, KS and GeOW. And if M$ can throw a nice deal for a Live Gold Membership I'll be more than happy. I've been playing online for free since 2006.

you know, I've always preferred this over Mortal Kombat. Hope they bring back Cinder

XB1_PS42220d ago

Cinder was amazing!! I hope to god almighty that Microsoft doesn't eff this one up. This is a staple of the hardcore gamer's childhood. Nothing to fuck around with.

I want to be hyped but it's hard when Microsoft decided to do this AFTER they gutted Rare.

Hopefully they somehow pull off a worthy entry.

Gildarts2220d ago

Who said it will be made by rare? ;)
