We all remember the time when EA sports just released almost an exact copy of FIFA each year with the only real new additions to the game was updated team squads, jerseys and looks. They might have added a new game mode if we were lucky. Then last year along came FIFA 12 and blew everyone away. Improved gameplay, improved graphics, improved physics engine, improved everything! It looked hard for EA to surpass their achievements last year with the next game in the series FIFA 13.

Entire shelves filled with decade-old FIFA and PES games spread across a dozen formats. Just who is buying FIFA 13 on Wii U? We may never know, but there are more people buying that than there are Bayonetta 2 and Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric.
Sonic Boom is riding off the popularity of the TV show; it's a bad game.
And as for FIFA?
Well, guess that goes to show that there's a lot of older gamers on Wii U that wanted FIFA, then; sports games generally do out-sell action games, and Platinum isn't known for large sales in the first place.
I'm not worried for Bayonetta. It'll hit that 1M mark by the middle of next year, surely, at its current pace.
