The AH is accessible anywhere and you can put things up for sale the second you loot them. You only have to go to an AH NPC to pick up purchased items.
The speed with which issues are address in this game means people should be careful about what they say is really broken. I have played other MMOs in which issues can take longer to resolve. But, both GW 1 and 2 have been very quick to address issues.
I have a total of 60 inventory spaces and its plenty. I am a pack-rat too. 90% of weapons I loot are salvaged, junk loot is sold, and resources put into resources tab. Pretty easy.
