OMG! This had better be coming to the PS3 also! The first one was such a wonderful game :)

@Wraith: WHAT!? NO!!! Now i'm almost positive I have to get a Wii U...

-Mika-4026d ago (Edited 4026d ago )

It should be. They would be stupid to make it a WiiU exclusive. Us PS3/360 owners is the reason this game is even getting a sequel. So out of respect, It should be a multi-platform title.

EDIT- I now see it a wii-u exclusive. Im never buying a game made by Platinum Games ever again. Plus this is a real low for nintendo. Are they that desperate for titles. First Ninja gaiden and now this.

Carl_Shocker4026d ago

"They would be stupid to make it a WiiU exclusive. Us PS3/360 owners is the reason this game is even getting a sequel. So out of respect, It should be a multi-platform title."

I don't usualy agree with you but you do have a point

This is BS...why would they make it for the Wii U when most people, THE FANS, played it on the 360/PS3.

Think I'll just wait for a PS3/360 port in the future...it's the gameplay aswell, I can't imagine myself playing it with the Nintendo Gamer Pad

Hatsune-Miku4026d ago

There will definitely be a xbox and ps3 version, maybe even a vita version. The only question is when

WiiUalpha4026d ago

Hatsune-Miku, As several have pointed out to you already it is being published by Nintendo. It will not be showing up on any other console

Trenta274026d ago

They said it was a Wii U exclusive.

Baka-akaB4026d ago

Seriously dont you people even read or listen . In the same min they annonced the game they said it was PUBLISHED by Nintendo .

LOGICWINS4026d ago

"This is BS...why would they make it for the Wii U when most people, THE FANS, played it on the 360/PS3."

Because money talks.

torchic4026d ago (Edited 4026d ago )

I bet a million bucks, just like Rayman Legends that this will be a TIMED exclusive folks.

don't fret

oh crap it's published by Nintendo? wow, still somehow think it will be a timed exlusive. shower me with disagrees but it makes 0 sense to have a game that was made famous on 360/PS3, show up as a full on exclusive on Wii U. an install base of +120 million vs. an install base of maybe 1 million?

PygmelionHunter4026d ago

Final Fantasy owes its fame to Nintendo owners from the NES-SNES era, that didn't stop Square from releasing the next big installments on Sony platforms.

Moncole4026d ago (Edited 4026d ago )

@Mika

Your tears are tasty.

Hatsune-Miku4026d ago

Microsoft published ninja gaiden 2 and it was exclusive to xbox 360 but Ninja gaiden 2 is available for ps3. The first bayonetta is on ps3 and xbox so I don't see why if there is s sequel it wouldn't come to ps3 and xbox at some point with over 100 million potential buyers

ChickeyCantor4026d ago

" Im never buying a game made by Platinum Games ever again."

HA..HAHA....HAHAHAHAHAHAH.

Meep4026d ago (Edited 4026d ago )

"They would be stupid to make it a WiiU exclusive. Us PS3/360 owners is the reason this game is even getting a sequel. So out of respect, It should be a multi-platform title."

Holy god. SOOOoooo much entitlement. What do you mean the reason they are getting a sequel is because of PS3 and 360 owners???? They are getting a sequel because consumers bought their game which was good. I hate it when people expect something more out of the developer when they buy the game. Most big-budget games are all about business decisions.

I hate it when people say "I bought your game say you owe me something." Platinum Games does not owe you or anyone else anything. People bought the game because it was good. That's it. The reason they Bayonetta was a success was because it was a good game, not the entitlement gamers going "hurr hurr I bought your game so you owe me something." When you buy a product, you buy that single product THATS IT.

"I'm never buying a game made by Platinum Games ever again. Plus this is a real low for Nintendo."

It's a business decision. If you do not like their decision, don't buy their products, simple as that.

StanSmith4026d ago

@hatsune-miku

You don't seem to get it. It is PUBLISHED by NINTENDO!

When has Nintendo ever allowed a game they published go multiplatform? Hell, they even blocked the Goldeneye XBLA title. It will not end up on Vita/PS3/360 or whatever else you hope it will release on.

linkratos4026d ago (Edited 4026d ago )

I know you are trolling but this game probably wouldn't even exist if it weren't for Nintendo. Sega reportedly stopped funding the game so Nintendo is stepping in and publishing it for Platinum.

If you truly are a fan of Bayonetta you should swallow your pride and thank them. You are the most immature person I've had the displeasure of reading on the internet.

SilentNegotiator4026d ago

A sequel made popular on 2 other systems?
Oh well, what's a few million lost sales?

rezzah4026d ago

I agree with your view. Out of respect for those who made the 1st game what it is in terms of sales...The ps3 and 360 owners should be getting the sequel too.

Ported versions of WiiU? Anything would do in my view.

AWBrawler4026d ago

No more desparate than Sony was when taking final fantasy. LOL Mika is going to cry us a little river now. Business is business, and money talks. I don't see t as desparate. I see it as securing an established new IP that they know core games want to play.

RockmanII74026d ago

Bayonetta sold under 2 million copies on PS3/360 combined. If it wasn't gonna have another company help financially (This case Nintendo) it wasn't gonna be made.

lizard812884026d ago

Bayonetta 2 was canceled and Nintendo funded it. If it wasn't for Nintendo, Bayonetta 2 wouldn't see the light of day.

But hey, we all know how that goes. No games are allowed to system jump. Just like how the Final Fantasy games are Nintendo Exclusive right?...

fatstarr4026d ago

Published by Nintendo homie lol its Exclusive for. life

Nintendo is trying to win

Sono4214026d ago (Edited 4026d ago )

To all those with hurt buttholes, if it wasn't for Nintendo this game would have never even seen the light of day, so quit complaining atleast now you have the option to play it. From here on out whether you play it or not is up to you and your ability to look past the brand, quit being fanboys and just enjoy games.

----edit-----
So I posted my comment then scrolled up two comments to see @lizard81288 posted something very similar with same wording too haha cool :)

I lol'd alot.

Nothing like death threats because X game isn't for your console.

sikbeta4025d ago

@-Mika-

Published by Nintendo, unless Sega pull a Ninja Gaiden Sigma kind of move it's not gonna happen...

Yup. They should call it something else besides Bayonetta 2 though, unless they're packaging in the first one onto the disc.

ronin4life4026d ago

Then they should have done the same with all of those Ps1 Final fantasy's, or mass effect on ps3.

guitarded774026d ago

@ ronin4life

Final Fantasy is a bad analogy as the games are separate story lines with the exception of the RN-N titles. As for Bayonetta, they can do a back story opening like ME2 did on PS3.

Knight_Crawler4025d ago

If you played Boyonetta 1 you would know that the game does a good job of telling the story with out moving CGI.

All they have to do is give Wii U owners a comic book style story and bam.

GribbleGrunger4026d ago (Edited 4026d ago )

This is a smart move by Nintendo. There are a number of people who own the 360 and the PS3 who would really want to play this. Now they'll have to buy a WiiU to do that. LOL. I'm a Sony fan and never intend to buy a Wiiu but props to Nintendo. Credit where credit is due

scruffy_bear4026d ago (Edited 4026d ago )

Why would any Bayonetta fan want to paid $299 just to play it, it's a slap in the face to all Bayonetta fan.

GribbleGrunger4026d ago

Come on, this is a great move. We can rationalise the pricing all day long but the point is, this is another incentive to buy the Wiiu. Little drips of positivity like this could just tip the balance for some people who are on the fence about a Wiiu purchase. Just acknowledge it's a good move... the world won't open up and swallow you
