A very random, very tongue-in-cheek quick satire piece regarding the whole Seduce Me Steam Greenlight saga that was in the news recently.
Quote: "If you’ve been keeping a weather eye on the news of late, you must have heard of Valve’s removal of Seduce Me, a game from Dutch developer No Reply Games, from Steam Greenlight — a place where indie developers may go to share their ideas with gamers and get feedback and constructive criticism. Apparently it’s okay to have decapitations and strong language in a game but as long as a penis doesn’t touch a vagina it’s alright."
Dark Queen of Samobor is a 2.5D narrative action-adventure inspired by Croatian and Slavic mythology. Step into the pages of a cursed fairytale as a hero knight and battle through various haunting biomes, twisted creatures, and ancient horrors to reach the Dark Queen’s castle.
Featuring handcrafted visuals, epic boss fights, and a fully directed camera – this is a dark fairytale brought to life.
Coming 2026.
A fun little throwback reminiscent of earlier Zelda adventures. With a yoyo!
From the acclaimed team behind Blasphemous, NINJA GAIDEN: Ragebound successfully unites the classic lore and gameplay of the Tecmo-developed (now KOEI TECMO GAMES) NINJA GAIDEN series from the classic era with the depth and intensity of the modern 3D entries. The best of both eras come together to create an epic and thrilling adventure.
Definitely looking forward to this. It'd be nice to see what these guys could do for a Strider reboot.
Love that argument...as if pornography deserves to infect every aspect of the industry just because violence does already.
To be honest, I don't think games like this belong on the regular steam store. They should, however have an 18+ steam incognito service to cater for this market.
I'm in the same boat with the article - It's ok to have violence, bad language, etc. but as soon as you see either a guys thing or a topless woman, "OMG ban this game!!!!!111!!"
Honestly they need a separate category for AO (Adult Only) or at least M; verify being 18+, and have access to that kind of content - and stop trying to "police" your customers.
Hm. Ultimately, it's Valve's choice what they want to sell in their store. This isn't like the Apple iOS store, where you've only got the one choice-- this is Steam. If you don't like their service, go to someone else, if no one else will carry it, start your own service that will carry things like this.
And if you really can't see a difference between an eroge and isolated sex scenes in games like Indigo Prophecy, then you shouldn't be talking about games in the first place, IMO.
let me ask something, as a parent, i would never let pornography be freely roaming a video game hub that's fairly friendly for underaged kids.
