Combining genres to make a brand new experience is nothing new, but this is the first time I recall seeing a developer take on the daunting task of trying to make Dance Dance Revolution work in a shoot 'em up..
SteamFirst: Okay, so this game seems tailor made for me. What Curious Panda’s Rhythm Destruction presents would be the chocolate and peanut butter of gaming. It’s a 2D shmup where, in the eponymous words of that Aerosmith game Revolution X, music is the weapon. (I apologize for even bringing that silly thing up. Please don’t hate me. More.) Based on what was turned out, I hesitate to unequivocally recommend it. In its current state, I would say that Rhythm Destruction is an excellent proof of concept in need of a bit more meat on these emaciated raver’s bones.
Hardcore Gamer: It was a long trek through the Greenlight process, but through a combination of community effort and Valve's more proactive stance on letting in new content, the journey to PC gaming's big storefront is finally complete.
Hardcore Gamer: The Debut 6 Bundle already gives you a wide variety of games, with FootLOL: Epic Fail League, Reversion - The Meeting, Subject 9, Dualsus, Arkadianax, Champions of Chaos II, and Rhythm Destruction available by default. Now, it's an even better value with Saturday Morning RPG as a bonus game.
