Review: Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD /// Tech Heads
Nostalgia can be a funny thing. It can bring all sorts of memories back: Christmas morning, that one birthday party where your friend broke your favorite toy, that one day at the zoo where you won your first stuffed animal, and much more. Nostalgia can be a great thing to indulge in, but at the same time, nostalgia reveals that things aren't always as good as you remember. Feeding off of fan nostalgia, Activision has released Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD, a pseudo-remake of the first two games. While this game nails many nostalgic notes and gives players that warm, fuzzy feeling inside, this remake just misses the mark of capturing everything fans remember about this franchise. It ends up being a very solid, yet incomplete experience for Tony Hawk fans.
