25 Reasons Why We Still Love Final Fantasy 25 Years Later

GameDynamo - "I can't believe it's already been 25 years since Final Fantasy was first created by Hironobu Sakaguchi and the talented developers at Square Enix, which was then known as Squaresoft. What makes the series so special? What has allowed the franchise to survive when other RPGs have faded into the catacombs of retro-reviews on YouTube?"

That was a lot of pages. For those of you who didn't want to click through all those pages, the list was basically a rundown of the best scenes from the series, the best towns, FF Tactics and FF 12's gameplay.

There were some good moments in Final Fantasy 3 and 5 that had no mention

Final Fantasy 8 had so many good moments. I'd list the ballroom dance, the first attack on the witch, and the Eyes on Me part before the train.

I thought there were only 10 reasons ( FF 1-X ) lol..

Each Final Fantasy game has there certain set moments with fans of each game. Each game is unique in its own way from the story to the music and how fans releate to the characters and the story of the game. I don't like them making sequals to some of these games cause I honestly find they suck. Only one proved me wrong that I enjoy playing is a prequal Crisis Core is the only side story I like.

If Square Enix & Nintendo are his hometown what does that make Xbox?

The red light district, where games go to w**** themselves for Gamepass cash.

Well Nintendo and Squaresoft is where he started. I totally understand why he doesn't want to do FF now. If so I'm happy for either a remaster of Last Story or a new entry/spiritual successor. Loved the battle system of Last Story.

I just really want a new Lost Odyssey, or even a proper remaster with some QoL updates. Though I'd also love to see him work with Square on a new IP.

That's about as good as a confirmation that we will see ports to the switch2

Wish my parents bought me a NES as a kid I would have played the first FF game. But I was lucky to have a SNES I played a bit of FF6 and just went to Chrono Trigger. When the FF collection releases I-VI Collection Anniversary drops I will take my time to play each Final Fantasy.

I mean… this is kinda obvious. The original final fantasy and its early sequels were on…

Playstation Icons: Squall Leonhart

Gary Green said: Tempting as it is to dedicate our first installment of PlayStation Icons to a franchise-leader like Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, or even Sackboy, instead I’m choosing a character that I, like so many others, connected with on a personal level. He’s a moody, world-weary teen, a proud loner with no time for the drama of others, and yet he’s also a hero just waiting for the motivation to unleash his full potential. He’s a warrior. He’s a leader. He’s the king of internal monologues. It’s time to meet Squall Leonhart.

The effort here is impressive. Hope it doesn’t get taken down.

He should have done it in Dreams though, the limitations of having done it in LBP are obvious.

solideagle46d ago

ah Dreams had so much potential, I think they should have released it on PC. one can only dream about dreams sale and popularity on PC. PC has modding/creative crowd and I think it would have been a hit

I love seeing projects like this. So much passion and time.
