Back in the 80′s, who would’ve thought that a cartoon show mainly developed to sell transforming toys would make such a long-spanning legacy with millions of fans over the world, iterating countless TV shows, toy lines, movies and ultimately, video games? The Transformers canon stays as one of the widely respected franchises to this very day, and for good reason – rather than just being a bunch of mindless robots beating the hell out of each other with a transforming gimmick, each robot is different than the other in the terms of visual look, transformation and most importantly, personality. This is the one specific field this series always excels at, with each character being interesting and likable in its own way. There’s no “bad guys are cooler because they’re more badass” here, because each side has their own ups and downs in the terms of its members. And now, as the end of the release-filled month August draws near, High Moon Studios offered us another great iteration in this beloved franchise, as a sequel to the already respected War for Cybertron.
Activision's Transformers games have been relisted on the Xbox and Steam stores, suggesting they could be available in the future.
Aw snap, i pirated the first game since I couldn't get it on steam but couldn't get it to work. Guess i don't gotta go out of my way now. Now if only SONY worked with em to port over Edge of Time or remastered Shattered and Edge.
WTF? I’ve been wanting to replay Fall/War games. So bummed they didn’t make em backwards compatible. I think imma have to dig out my 360 out of storage
While originally only the PlayStation and Steam stores were affected, now all the Transformers games on Xbox One and Xbox 360 have been delisted from the marketplaces.
Legend of Korra has been delisted from all marketplace stores as well. The rights expired with Activision.
Jason Stettner of Gamerheadquarters writes; "Transformers: Fall of Cybertron was a remarkable game, it continued the story line that War setup and presented players with the world of Cybertron which is often only mentioned in most media. "
Both 'War for' and 'Fall of' are really well made games. Much better than any of the movie licensed ones.
I love these games way better then the movie crap that was put out. Too bad the third game Rise of the Dark Spark sucked they had a great franchise going on with War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron.
