TouchArcade: Every week it seems like we come at you with another zombie game -- and with Spender Cordes' Tread of the Dead [$0.99 / Free]-- this week is no exception. Fortunately, Tread of the Dead looks to offer a bit of variety with its emphasis on tilt controls, pattern memorization, and precision. You won't find much in terms of deep gameplay or impressive visuals, and its simple controls can be hit-or-miss when combined with the difficulty, but Tread’s extremely approachable gameplay combined with its wealth of content make it well worth a try.
A lot more fun than you'd expect it to be, Tread of the Dead provides some zombie killing amusement, and at least in its approach to slaying the undead, stands out from the horde of other zombie releases.
Tread of the Dead is a zombie puzzle game made by a single person. He made every detail from the art to the gameplay mechanics. The game is a little rough around the edges in some spots, but it brings some interesting gameplay mechanics and is a lot of fun once you get past some of the technical issues.
