Pocket Gamer: In a fashion that's disarmingly reminiscent of the undead hordes from which it takes its name, Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies has shambled rather than sprinted to Xperia Play. The iOS version is half a year old now, although it still stands up as a perfectly decent FPS experience on mobile.
That naturally applies to this Android port as well, if not more so - the Xperia Play's dedicated gaming input and twin-pad setup mean that it offers much more intuitive control than its entirely touchscreen-driven iOS forerunner ever could.
With Jason Blundell departed from Treyarch, I understand the prospects of the Zombies mode reaching it's former glory are quite slim. To some this signals the end of an era, to others: a new beginning .

Among them was Call of Duty Black Ops Zombies, which brought the series' popular Zombie mode to iOS devices. Unfortunately it's been a while since players have been able to enjoy the game on their iOS devices, as Call of Duty Black Ops Zombies wasn't compatible with the latest iOS 8 versions. Today the game has finally received a new update which makes it playable on devices using the latest iOS version."

Since the smartphone and tablet markets advance at such a rapid pace, 2013 should easily surpass the last 12 months.
