Capcom officially revealed ‘Remember Me’ last week at GamesCom 2012, the stunning visuals and unique story-line of the game made it an almost instant hit with fans and critics. Being developed by DONTNOD Entertainment, the game was one of the most visually stunning titles to come out of the event this year.
The story of the game fines itself inside the science-fiction spectrum. Players will explore a futuristic world set in what is known as ‘Neo-Paris’, in the year 2084. In this setting, there is a market for digitized-memories. A person’s memories can easily be bought or sold over social-networks and markets. The game stands as both a warning and a social-satire on today’s technological advancements. The game’s elaborate preview at GamesCom felt like a mixture of Orwell’s ’1984′ and the technologically advanced social-commentary ‘A Brave New World’ by Huxley.
