Smash Bros Wii U and 3DS: Sakurai confirms new characters

ONM writes: The new Super Smash Bros Wii U and 3DS games look like they will feature new characters. Despite recently suggesting that he needs to narrow down the roster for Smash Bros 4, Sakurai has said that he is working on new skills for new characters.

Good idea, the game has way too many clones trying to pad out the roster.

Yeah there were too many similar characters in Brawl. I think they should stick more to the melee roster.

Just get rid of all the "clone" characters and replace some of them with brand new ones.

Seems stupid to cut down on the roster. Why do that? Great gaming history soo many characters.

I agree with you even though I understand his reasons.

Many of the directors want to create a balanced-perfect game and that is an admirable pursuit.

BUT just like with old school PC games (or even some of the SSB options) it would be nice to allow players to mess around with the balance.

>He could include another Mode that had "broken/unbalanced" characters in it. That would allow players to play their character perhaps with less reward (if the character is really strong) or with more reward (if the character is really weak).
