Some arguments in favor of buying the PlayStation Vita as opposed to the Nintendo 3DS. It's all about gamers' tastes and preferences.
bc its the real deals. hd awesomes. great games. 3g. gaming on the go. cant wait for killzones on it. gonna rock!
How much gaming on Vita supports 3g? Does Resistance multiplayer work over 3g? I ask as the upcoming COD games says 4x4 over wifi.
I don't know for sure but I am pretty sure 3G works for any online game but maybe not every online service such as Netflix.
I use Netflix with 3g all the time. Works just fine for me.
Who the hell added the disagree? It's a farking question...
You can say grass is green and someone will disagree with you. Just how the people on this site are.
its the right choice for gamers
I think that if you're a core gamer you should go with psvita, if you're a casual gamer you should go with 3DS.
I don't think you know what those terms mean.
those terms are pretty self-explanatory.
Ok, describe the difference between a core gamer and casual gamer then please.
I'm not claiming that the 3DS is a bad system or anything, it's just more suited for casual games like super mario bros. and stuff like that. I tried resident evil and mgs 3D and I really thought it was unplayable. MGS HD for vita was really much more enjoyable.
To suggest a control sceme is what dictates the difference between core and casual gaming is plain wrong.
I think what he is trying to say is, if you want real full length games on the go, choose a vita. But if you want 5 hour long mario games(that's how long it took me to get all star coins in sm3Dland) and other iterations and sequels of games better on the original ds then choose the 3DS. I do agree that the length or control scheme do not dictate casual/hardcore gaming, I believe he is trying to say that family friendly = causal and that Nintendo games can't be hardcore. Both untrue statements.
I think the Vita is easier for "casuals" to get to know.
I guess that's more true the fact that touch screen are more of a standard than what the DS form factor offers. But I still think that VITA and 3DS are for more of the core gamers and Apple's products are for the more casual (Ipod Touch).
I love my Vita. It's definitely got some amazing games, and it hasn't even been out for a year yet!
You mind listing some games? Im thinking about getting one
I've been playing Gravity Rush, Uncharted, and if you like wario ware go to the EU psn and download Frobisher Says its almost too much fun oh and it's also free!
LittleBigPlanet, KillZone, Uncharted 3, Call of Duty
Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack Uncharted: Golden Abyss Gravity Rush WipEout 2048 Mortal Kombat Lumines: Electronic Symphony Super Stardust Delta MotorStorm RC Sound Shapes Keep in mind I've only had my Vita for 7 weeks. From what I've played so far, these are all the PS Vita games that I consider amazing.
I'm hypnotized by the OLED.
One thing i dont like is the glue that i see on my Vita screen when it's dark. Hopefully other guys dont have it but i probably have one of the first batch of Vitas. It shows especially on dark loading screens.
You mean those dark blobs? My launch Vita has them as well. :( I think it's common with any device with an OLED screen though.
On mine I see a really sharp little triangle but dont see much more than that which is cool.
Me too! 8-)
I'm picking up Vita when more games are out. I hope Type 0 comes to it via D/L or gasp...HD/sorta upgrade
According to some article way back when, Type-0 is getting a PS Vita revamp. Not sure what that entails (assuming just a visual upgrade). So I'm pretty sure that that version will get a localization instead of the PSP version.
I didn't read the article but I have to say I just got my vita about a week ago and I'm blown away by it. Everything about it besides battery life beats all expectations when thinking about portable gaming.
I don't know, I think the Playstation Vita is just an inferior product cash-grab to entice people to fork money over to SONY while we wait even longer for the next Generation of consoles that will inevitably be over-priced, under-utilized, all so they can get MORE money for upgrade fees, DLC fees, with not even a sense of-THE SONY IS GREAT. BUY ALL OF THEIR PRODUCTS. ALL GLORY TO THE SONY!
If you dislike them that much you could just stay out of the Sony news section? If Sony isnt right for you, there are 3 other platforms you could be spending your time with.
...judging by all the dislikes & your comment, apparently people didn't understand the joke. It's a Futurama reference. Nothing more.
i have both and i love them equally.
Because you like handheld videogames? It's simple
I can't stand Playstation controller but I want either the Vita or PSP for Jrpg's. The thing that is stopping me is that PSP is only $20 cheaper than brand new 3DS hardware..which I already bought months ago....and the Vita is costing what I would almost pay for the NEXt Gen console of my choice. PSP has tons of games it seems and that is the deciding factor on a GAMING DEVICE. Also....Sony needs to step it up with Backwards compatibility for the physical games....Not everyone wants there games floating in Cyber Space.
I think there is a $100 PSP to buy.
That's almost one of the reason why I haven't gotten a VITA yet. PSP has still been serving me well for a portable gaming device. I ain't forking out 300 dollars for a new platform and a game just yet. Just waiting for those 50 dollar gift card promos to come around (w/c I missed).
what an ugly website
had a 3ds but once i got vits i never touched ti again! love the vita! cant stop playing vita
im still waiting on better games
I was really excited about the Vita...until I actually got to play it. Think I'll stick with 3DS.
what seems to be the problem w/ it?
I'm not sure there was a "problem," per se. It was more that the HD visuals were essentially meaningless given the screen size, the controls felt awkward, and I wasn't seeing the majority of its features being made use of. 3DS simply has a larger library of games that interest me: NSMB2, Luigi's Mansion 2, Spirit Camera, etc. etc. Vita has...Uncharted.
Ok, so I listed some great PS Vita games in my comment: Uncharted 3, Little Big Planet, Call of Duty, etc and got 4 disagrees. Some people just don't know good games! lol
