Here's a look at the history of the Assassin's Creed franchise as far as each game, its sales and whether or not all of that dictates whether or not Ubisoft needs to rest the series for a year or two. What do you think?
If the games are good, I see no issue. While Brotherhood/Revelations were very similar they were still fun. The AC games are all about immersion and escapism anyway, that kind of approach doesn't demand completely new gameplay/features with every game. Sometimes another title is just a great excuse to enter that world again. From that perspective, more AC games? Bring 'em on.
Agreed. There are people who more have the stance that because they've been out four years in a row, that then it means the series should take a year off. I mean like you said if a game is great, one after the other, then why stop? And yes the series doesn't need to change every time. It's just nice to have something different after every two. I thought Revelations was a bit too much like been there done that. But still was great!! Keep em coming Ubisoft!
Answer is YES
It absolutely does need a rest. Every game is pretty much the same thing.
Not in AC III it won't be.
So is that hell yeah they should not take a year off or hell yeah they should take a year off?
