Rumor: Nintendo pursuing smartphone developers for Wii U eShop

Nintendo is said to be asking developers of iOS/Android games to bring their games to the Wii U eShop.

But can they actually convince them to leave their $1 app stores (or at least make ports) for the Wii U's online storefront?

should've included a multi touch screen if they wanted ports of mobile games since most/alot of them require multi touch input.

The Wii U gamepad has buttons, so that won't even be an issue.

Exactly. Even FPS games like N.O.V.A would run on the WiiU with dual analogs.

Think outside of the box here, maybe they want apps and not just iOS/Android games! Facebook, Skype, twitter flashlight, dog whistle, nahh mean.

Apps alone will help the Wii u become a success but for Nintendo to have IOS & android games on eShop Nintendo will win the console war again

Not surprised.

1) I just hope that they have a competitive business model
and
2) that they have fixed the gripes that many small developers had with Wiiware.
