DICE: Mirror's Edge and Bad Company Are "Too Good to Kill"

IGN:

While EA and DICE remain coy about Mirror's Edge 2, a sequel seems all but inevitable.

In an interview with IGN, DICE executive producer Patrick Bach continued EA's (as well as DICE's) pro-Mirror's Edge 2 messaging, staring that Mirror's Edge is a property "we love, and of course we haven't killed it, because it's too good to kill." This also applies to Battlefield: Bad Company 3.

Then why has it been 4 years since ME and no sign of a sequel. DICE, it sounds like EA has killed it, but if not....you're killing me making me wait.

morventhus4693d ago

I foresee... ME2 being a free to play game.... just like HOW EA just turned C&C into free to play and i will cry... i hope im wrong though

why would they ever consider the BFBC series is worth killing? BFBC actually have a decent SP with good stories and likable characters unlike the 'lifeless' BF3 campaign!

Well, there was a sign with the incomplete internal demo that was deemed not good enough, so it got shelved until it could be made good.

save Bad Company 3 for NEXT-GEN.. by that time CoD will have run it's course... after BO2, it's pretty much curtains. NO ONE trusts IW with another Modern Warfare game after that last debacle that all these so-called "gaming journalists" gave rave reviews and it turned out to be reskinned garbage..

Next gen is already here no need to save jack when it can be ported to wherever it needs to be , and yes I agree cod blows.

Absolutely insane. Man I'm hope they land on their feet EA needs to get the shit together badly....

This is why this industry has slow releases and none compelling games.

Why would anyone willingly work in the VG industry or specifically for one of these globocorp organizations that put you in constant fear of losing your livelihood based on terrible choices made by idiotic management, not the people with talent making the actual games?
