Can get Sleeping Dogs for $50 at Frys!

showtimefolks4424d ago

i was very interested in sleeping dogs but few reviews that are out make it seem like its a good not great game and kind of very short when you consider its a open world game

10-12hrs main story which isn't even that good. and gun play leaves a lot to be desired....gameinformer review

i most likely will pick it up but not for full price maybe when its under $30. really not worried since most of my time will go towards darksiders 2

yeahokchief4424d ago

hell yes darksiders 2! support thq and vigil!

they are doing it right with this one. free dlc pass if you buy it off the thqstore. you get a full game for paying fullprice on release! this is how every game should be.

Instead o ripping its consumers dlc could be a major shot sales wise if done right. Offer it to those who buy the game new at launch for free and just say only first releases will get dlc code. And make that dlc actually something good so people will see that they are actually getting good value

for darksiders 2 finish darsiders 1 and you will get a level 7 armor among other thing i think. That's another way to get some sales of your older release by giving a bonus in the upcoming game

anyway darksiders 2 hopefully will be epic and from early reviews its about 20-30hrs long so that's never a bad sign

10-12 hours plus all the side missions, and just mucking about the game world. That's still pretty good and a lot of game time.

Numbers 6-9 were some of my absolute favorite early gen PS3 games. I'm still bitter about Incognito and Japan Studio.

Goodguy01114d ago

The white knight chronicles and infamous games really need to come to modern platforms. MAG I really miss...poor zipper. The ps3 was definitely a unique console despite it being the worst home console of PlayStation.

It's A Crime That There's No Sleeping Dogs 2 Yet

Huzaifah from eXputer: "Sleeping Dogs from the early 2010s is one of the best open-world games out there but in dire need of a resurgence."

LG_Fox_Brazil160d ago

I agree, I consider the first one a cult classic already

isarai160d ago

You say "yet" as if it's even possible anymore. United Front Games is gone, along with anyone that made this game what it is

CrimsonWing69159d ago

That’s what happens when games sell poorly. And I’ve seen people wonder why people cry when a game sells badly… this is your answer.

solideagle159d ago

Majority of the time it's true but if a company/publisher is big (in terms of money), they can take a hit or 2. e.g. I am not worried about Rebirth sales as Square will make Remake 3 anyway but if FF 17 doesn't sell then Square might need to look for alternative. <-- my humble opinion

Abnor_Mal159d ago

Doesn’t Microsoft own the IP now since they acquired Activision?

DaReapa159d ago

No. Square Enix owns the IP.

Abnor_Mal159d ago

Oh okay, Activision owned True Crime, but when that didn’t sell as intended it was canceled. Six months later Square Enix bought the rights and changed the title to Sleeping Dogs.*

Sleeping Dogs was a sleeper hit back then. It was fantastic. It actually still is. Would love a sequel to this, or at least a revive of True Crime series.

Do they explain in the video why there are two numbers 3? Starfield and Tears of the Kingdom?

It's always refreshing to see games embracing the streaming community.
