GRID 2: We've played it. We're calling it - Racing games will never be the same again

Cant wait to play Grid 2 in 3D. Hell need for speed shift looks amazing in 3d, Grid 2 should be outstanding.

Yeah I'm really excited for this but the lack of cockpit view really is disappointing. The drifting was absolutely amazing in the cockpit view. It made the experience so much more immersive and I only drifted in that perspective. I felt like a racer from Initial D lol. It's a shame really.

I always use it.

The only thing I don't use it for is drifting.

Other than that, cockpit view all the way.

If they add the cockpit view as FREE DLC later on I will pick up the game.

If it doesn't have it ever, no buy from me. I have gotten so used to driving that way, I don't play many games with cars without that view.

The only exception would be GTA, but that is because you do a lot more than just driving.

I personally don't care about cockpit view, I never use it.

But its omission is baffling. As dumb as Splinter Cell HD not having Y axis invert at release. I refused to buy it until they patched it in later and many will likely do the same here.

I loved the first grid because it was the first game imo to successfully combine elements of an arcade racer with elements of a racing simulator.

Sounds good but if they are going for the whole immersion idea it sounds like a silly decision to remove cockpit view.

Atleast keep it on the PC if proessing power is the issue, every person I know who plays on PC with a wheel uses cockpit view for that immersion but meh whatever its your game codemasters and it will prob still be fun.

Can't wait for a release. GRID and the Forza series are the only racing games I put any real amount of time in this generation. Was waiting for a sequel for long while now.

Looks good but with no cockpit cam and an emphasis on street racing it would appear we have taken a further step away from a return of the vastly superior TOCA series. It's criminal nobody has taken advantage of the touring cars licence during this generation. Street racing is ok but it's getting a bit long in the tooth now, someone needs to have the balls to make a focused game on one discipline and not try and be all things to all people.

every racing games should have cockpit view. it gives that realistic feel of the game. shit even master chief is movin to more helmet view! all racing game should have it in my opinion. but still very excited for this game!

Grid had a certain character that no other racing games had, it's a bit more than cockpit view and destruction derby... which I admit I really liked.
