David Jaffe talks about his upcoming PS3 Game

The creator of God of War and Twisted Metal, David Jaffe, talks a bit about his upcoming PS3 game in his latest blog entry. He reveals that the game should be out in the next few months and that it looks great in 1080p.

"What I can tell you is I was playing it at 1080p the other day out in Utah and damn man, that has totally convinced me to go out and buy a snazzy, high end television. It's night and freaking day, dude. Night and freaking day."

"It's totally NOT a game like HL was going to be, or GOD OF WAR for that matter. It has stuff in common with TWISTED METAL, BOMBERMAN, and...well, a few other things that I ain't gonna talk about yet!

I think it's lots of fun and I hope you all will as well...we will know soon enough!"

about waht game is he talking ? it sounds very good.

He hasn't announced the name or what it's about yet. Apparently it's only been in production for 6 months and will be released between November and January. He's mentioned that it's in 1080p, and that he's having lots of fun making and playing it. Sounds like a pick up and play title, maybe a downloadable title from the Playstation network, maybe not. Whatever it is, glad he's working on something for the PS3.

Is this the secret launch game that that opm podcast a while back was talking about?

I didn't realize Incog was also doing HL. Warhawk is already extremely ambitious, to the point where some people are asking "Can they really pull it off?". I'd rather that the team at Incog just focus on Warhawk for now anyways.

But what the hell is this new game that he's doing? I definitely want to see what it is, especially since he and the team are making it so quickly without any hassles.

Shaolin Monks is a forgotten gem. I would love to see a new one, or a remake of the old.

That game was actually goated. It was the first time ever that I actually tried to get good at a fighting game. Unfortunately the online connection was so dogshit it made it hard to enjoy and eventually I gave up. Haven't really played much fighting games since.

The Industry Needs To Modernize These 6 Fantastic Classics

The Simpsons: Hit and Run, The Legend of Dragoon, and Chrono Trigger would benefit substantially from a modern remake.

Knightofelemia1d 3h ago (Edited 1d 3h ago )

The Xenosaga trilogy, the Wild Arms games, Xenogears, Parasite Eve, Dino Crisis, Suikoden. The Warriors game I know nothing about but it looks interesting. Anybody can do a list of games they want to see get modernized I would lose my shit if Namco brought the Xenosaga trilogy to modern consoles.
