World of Warcraft loses another million subscribers

Activision Blizzard has disclosed the video game had just over nine million paying users at the end of June. That is down from a high of more than 12 million two years ago.

Yeah, until Mists comes out... Then it'll jump by millions. Only reason people have stopped is because higher level characters with top tier raid gear don't want to spend their time getting stuff that's going to be crap the second Mists goes live.

It always happens when an expansion is about to come out. People stop playing since there's no more content coming out and nothing else to do but daily quests or beating the same bosses they have all the loot that they need from already. Might as well save a few bucks waiting and start up their account again when the new one hits live.
