Gameloft brings Unreal Engine to Android

Mobile gaming is like David fighting the Goliath gaming industry at large – and we all know how that fight ended. But mobiles are getting more than just a rock in their arsenal as Gameloft teases its first outing of the popular Unreal Engine for Android.

The as-yet untitled game looks like a dark, gory romp involving hacking and slashing. More importantly it shows that gaming companies are willing to make big plans for Android's gaming future. That's good news for the increasing ranks of game-hungry smartphone and tablet users, a leg-up for the Ouya console and another reason to watch Google TV closely.

The story is too old to be commented.

What game will gameloft be cloning next?

Amazingmrbrock2318d ago (Edited 2318d ago )

I don't get your disagrees haven't they been accused of cloning numerous games.

This article is too sensational talking about david and goliath. Like it's some big battle for sales between two markets. Sorry not how things work. Big publishers put games out for both areas, both areas make lots of sales. Console sales going down is not related to mobile sales. They go down because of periods of time with few game releases. Consoles fail because of bad price points, not enough games etc. These journalists are always beating the war drum, and it's all just smoke blowing up our collectives asses.

From what I've read, Gameloft is notorious for copying titles. They showed off a Crysis clone just recently. I'm surprised EA hasn't gone after them along with Zynga.

The first game to debut with it unreal tournament clone that would be so funny.

@ame22 Zynga is on par.

DJ2318d ago (Edited 2318d ago )

I wouldn't doubt it.

ame222318d ago

I've never heard about a bigger hack than Gameloft.

hellvaguy2318d ago (Edited 2318d ago )

Still no controller for android, no ty.

Really OUYA a hypothetical home console that may never even release? Very off topic since all android users are curently cell phone and tablet.

OUYA is getting release March 2013. It says it on its kickstarter page and its already reached its goal.
