Gamedaily writes, Metal Gear Solid has its fair share of creepy bosses but these seven nemeses take the cake.
1) Psycho Mantis from Metal Gear Solid
Not only does he resemble the gimp from Pulp Fiction, but he also talks with a creepy hiss and hovers around, digging into our consoles and telling us about the games we played.
2) Gray Fox from Metal Gear Solid
Not only does he freak out whenever he gets pains in his head, but he goes by the secret codename "Deepthroat", which implies that he can take a whole...never mind.
3) Vamp from Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty
Anyone that can take a bullet to the head without dying is one badass hombre.
4) Fatman from Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty
Let's see, he's an ugly and obese guy that rides on inline skates and says "Laugh, and grow fat".
5) The Sorrow from Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
He bleeds from his eyes, floats around and talks to dead soldiers
6) The Pain from Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
Kissing this guy is hazardous to your health, as in he might vomit killer bees into your mouth.
7) The End from Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
Although this old fart deserves props for being the greatest sniper in Metal Gear history, the guy has moss growing on his body.
The Opening Levels that hooked gamers from the outset.
The PlayStation 3 may not have been the strongest generation for Sony, but there were still some diamonds in the rough that deserve a revisit as PS5 remasters.
Even if they could just remaster and put on PSVR2, some would still look great as VR titles and could do a whole lot to bolster the headset w these exclusives! I'd imagine the investment of reworking these titles into VR would be way less than building new games from the ground up, and they could be amazing experiences, and VR often makes flat games feel fresh again. The Resistance and Killzone games are particularly what I want to see!!
The time is perfect for a resistance fall of man game campaign coop multiplayer
Resistance was ok but Warhawk and Starhawk was better and kept me coming back for almost a decade of fun and petty revenge on the loud mouth unskilled players 🤣
Edit I loved capture the flag dropping the pot on the flag carrier was extremely satisfying as well as transforming your plane in bot form and stumping them to death 😱
In the wake of some of the Metal Gear games getting remastered in the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection, it seems like a good time to take a look back at the originals. This review will go over one of the classic titles, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.
I would like to know WTF Vamp is. MGS4 hurry up!
The old guy in MGS 3 was pretty tough.
Psycho Mantis was one of the greatest boss battles in any game ever, how come they didn't mention the fact you had to swap the controller ports in the middle of the fight so that Psycho Mantis didn't know what you were doing. I can still remember it "why can't I read your mind"
Psycho Mantis was number 1 on my list, I am glad they agree.
That boss battle was well done. Especially how they utilized various console features to their advantage. How he would read and comment on the content of your memory cards (Konami games only, I believe), or how you had to unplug your controller and put it in the second port to stop him from reading your mind and predicting your next move. He even set off your rumble. Not many games tried these type of things.
The End was one of the most awesome boss fights of any game I have ever played. Also I thought Solidus from MGS2 was a great character.
