LittleBigPlanet Karting trailer is %*#&ing great

Player Attack: Like earlier games in the franchise, LittleBigPlanet Karting uses the vocal talents of Mr Stephen Fry to commentate the adventures of Sackboy and his friends. This time around, it seems that despite the best efforts of United Front Games, Mr Fry has developed quite the potty mouth, resulting in this video showing what he really thinks of the new game.

Dam, there was already 2 Modnation Racers, 2 Gran Turismos, 4 Motorstorms, Full Auto 2: Battlelines, Supercar Challenge, Twisted Metal, Wipeout HD, and RIIIDDDGGGE RAAAACEEERRRR 7.

It seems like Sony is dominating the racing genre and this game looks to be even better then Modnation Racers.

Im going to say something everyone is going to disagree. I have a PS3 and I consider myself a PS3 fanboy. There is no game better than God of War 3. Ok so no, the greatest sim racer out there now is Forza! yeah I played it and not wanted to like it but it is way better than GT5. The amount of detail in that game was amazing! Sorry but Forza is way better than GT5. I own GT5 and my brother has Forza.

You mean the details on the things are non-existent? Eventually there will be a Forza game that stacks up to Gran Turismo 5. At the rate they're pumping them out it's only a matter of time. Don't forget to keep buying those yearly updates!

You know, it is possible to be a Gran Turismo fan and not be crazy about GT5. Many hardcore racing fans were not all that impressed by the game and have long since moved on, despite being big fans of prior GTs on the PS2.

B. The enthusiasts, if "offended" by custom cars, could have an option to only see cars with random manufacturer colors and stuff.

Poly chose to side with them and they lost out with some people as a result. GT5 may be the reigning sim graphics king, but they lost out on the options.

OT:

I did NOT like that trailer. LBP has a child-like ambiance and with all of that blanked-out cursing just spits on the mood.

The game itself looks good, though.

But there are races in Twisted Metal with cars. It is an amazing game. Don't believe what the reviews says about the races in Twisted Metal. I played it and enjoyed it. I'm a big fan of Twisted Metal since Twisted Metal 1.

Joyride outsold Starhawk, Twisted Metal, Tokyo Jungle and the Jak & Daxter Collection combined - those games were on so many fanboys lists as the "oh so great sony exclusives". In the end, not a single beeep was given when they actually released. Nobody bought those games. The game that was bought by more than 1 million people does not count though. Yeah, perfect logic.

But everyone seems to be fine with Twisted Metal being a racing game. Awesome N4G, just awesome.

I'm sure Joyride sold very well, beating even the mighty Tokyo Jungle as you rightly pointed out. A game that has yet to be released in NA and the EU. Nicely done.

But at the end of the day you can quite gladly have your "sales", I'll take a wide spectrum of titles to choose from that don't sell quite as well, thanks.

Oh by the way, I actually own all of those titles. Bar Tokyo Jungle of course.

While I can agree that Move is a flop. Pretty much EVERY Kinect title flops in terms of quality though. Even the high selling ones. And that's pretty sad considering Kinect is pretty much all they do now and the vast amount they pump out end up being shovelware.

Rufusman91 did you get to play the lbp karting beta? I did and could not get into the game at all. I have mnr on the ps3 and my psv and i was looking forward to lbp karting but imo its way to slow and has not got the fun feel mnr mario kart and sonic all stars has.

I hope its improved for the final game but going off the beta its way off mnr and mario kart.

Mario Kart is fun. Mod Nation Racers was a good try, but ultimately had trouble with loading times and online balancing issues.

LBP Karting has none of these problems. It is SO FUN! Also, it has battle mode, unlike Mod Nation Racers. :)

I am seriously in LOVE with this game! It's not going to sell as well as Mario Kart, but I personally think it has outclassed it. This is the best kart racing game ever made.

I think LittleBigPlanet has just as much appeal with children. Every kid I know LOVES LBP! The first two games have sold like crack! I just wish Sony would put more marketing into this game. I hope they put marketing into PABR, also. I doubt it though.

The only people I can see logically disagreeing with you on this are Nintendo/Mario fanboys and random Xboxtrolls who think this is nothing more than a mediocre Mario Kart rip off.

Mario Kart hasn't had anything truly original or impressive to offer in many iterations. Not only does LBP Karting outclass it in terms of mechanics, and match its charm, but it also offers far more in terms of content, replayability and innovation that will make itself very clear once the community have got their creative hands on it.

Based off beta this game will not be better than modnation, not by a long shot. I dont know ppls gripe with Modnation but imo it is the best karting game ever. With so many level creations and character creations to date its mind boggling (and most are quality). The graphics also in Modnation are good and car handling great.

I played Lbp Karting beta maybe 6 times and stopped because it was meh. The graphics were ok, but a few things felt wrong especially the way it felt when you drove the kart and handling (feels floaty as hell). The weapons also to although similar are not as good as Mod Nation.

after all this time i still own Mod Nation because it is just the definitive Karting game for me and so much all around fun.

The graphics in LBP are terrible compared to Modnation, everything is blurry.

Whilst there will be more varied styles of circuits I much prefer Modnation's general style.

The controls felt similar to me, but I'd say Modnation edges it.

That being said, Super Kratos Brothers sounds absolutely hilarious and I don't think I'd turn down the chance to play it.... You sir have given me an idea for a level when lbp vita comes out :D
