i miss the old 8 bit art. The newer dragon ball z look really took the charm from the series

kingdavid4715d ago

I dunno id say the charm became lost when square enix began incorporating online in DQ9 and the companion characters became lifeless shells.

Dragon Quest 3 censorship comments were mistranslated, statement by Horii & Torishima’s show account

The attached statement gives specific examples of mistranslations, such as “puritan” being translated as “sex education” and alleges that “parts of the comments made by the speakers have been deliberately cut out of context and quoted as if the speaker was expressing a negative opinion against a certain ideology or belief, and have been spread in a way that is far removed from the true meaning of the comments and the original content and message of the video in question.”

In the statement, KosoKoso Hōsō Kyoku asks social media users and media to refrain from “arbitrarily extracting parts of comments and quoting them as comments that are in line with your own opinion for the purpose of reinforcing the legitimacy of your own opinion.”

Many people have agendas to live up to so they will twist what they can to fit their agenda

_SilverHawk_264d ago (Edited 264d ago )

Same thing happened with assassins creed shadows. Certain people will continue to lie and make up things to fit a negative agenda to counter a positive one and even when the negative agenda campaign is discredited some will continue to pile on more lies. Happens far too often

MeatyUrologist264d ago

What was made up about shadows? Don't remember hearing about that.

HankHill264d ago

Japanese people haven't been a fan of AC Shadows. Are you saying the negative reception is made up?

Why did the game get delayed right before the Tokyo Game Show?

LucasRuinedChildhood265d ago (Edited 265d ago )

They get clicks but not sure how people aren't tired of being tricked by fake stories designed to rile them up like what Elon reposted here.

coolbeans265d ago

But the video clip WITHIN Musk's reposted tweet was mostly accurate though. I explain this in more detail further down in this comment section.

thorstein265d ago

Of course they were. People who believe in elaborate conspiracy theories are going to see elaborate conspiracies in everything.

Vits265d ago

Just to keep it honest: he still commented on and criticized how the Western world addresses those innocuous issues and the overall hypocrisy that west classification boards are based on. However, his remarks are aimed at the West culture as a whole. What Musk and other special snowflakes did was manipulate the language enough to frame his criticisms as attacks on "woke culture".

MDTunkown264d ago

He probably never expected his comments to reach the west and for damage control he has to steep back

Servbot41265d ago (Edited 265d ago )

This article is bull and this no-name site should be banned. ONE word was mistranslated, everything else was correct and Yuji Horii was right.

Alos88265d ago

"automaton media" gives me AI vibes, I'm not surprised the site sucks.

OtterX265d ago (Edited 265d ago )

I addressed Coolbeans about it below, bc I'm the one who submitted it. (I don't like the sensationalist headline either) I'll just post it again here:

"Yea, it's bc the one I was submitting was tamer. Here...

https://www.nintendolife.co...

I changed the article to the original source as per N4G rules, but I'm now regretting it.

My intent was only to show that Yuji claimed it was a mistranslation, whether true or untrue. That's the news here, the clarification was issued. Not to bolster anyone's views.

While it says that the interviewer posted this, it does say it was also requested by the interview participants (which would include Yuji) "

gold_drake583d ago (Edited 583d ago )

Taro made a tweet several months ago that Square has locked him inside a room to direct for a new nier game haha.

H9583d ago

Hope it's not a Mobile game

Snookies12583d ago

So excited to hear it! The Nier series is so damn good... Automata is my favorite game of all time. Knocking out Chrono Trigger which held that spot for pretty much the entirety of my life, lol.
