Sounds cool...if I was going to get a Wii U

Morrigan-Aensland4719d ago

Cool, if Wii u is getting crysis 3 then it'll be on Xbox 360, ps3 and probably vita. I'm not a crysis fan except for the pc version but I'm quite sure a lot of gamers would be happy with this info

Wizziokid4719d ago

it's on Xbox 360 and Ps3 anyway :S

r214719d ago

on vita? that'd be an impressive feat to pull off but it isnt that powerful.

Wizziokid4719d ago

This could be the sign of some good support for the system, i'm down for it to happen

Patriots_Pride4719d ago (Edited 4719d ago )

Trust me when I say Crysis will sell crap on the WiiU. As a hardcore Wii gamer I can not see where this game will appeal to me.

This is how I compare Crysis quality to movies

Mario - Gladiator
Zelda - Lord of the Rings
Metriod - Star Wars
Crysis 2 - G.I Joe : (

Jadedz4719d ago

I'm assuming developers won't treat it (Wii U) like a second class system.

CanadianTurtle4719d ago

I have a feeling that the WiiU version will possibly be the best version aside from the PC version of course.

Either way, good graphics will not save a game if the story and gameplay are shit. Crysis 2 proved that.

PCGamingNoobs4719d ago

well thats the pc version completely nurfed again. i thought they said they learnt from crysis 2.

but i wont jump to conclusions i will wait and see if they actually put the work in and make a separate version, but i doubt it!

Patriots_Pride4719d ago (Edited 4719d ago )

Crysis 2 has become Electronic Arts' most popular release so far this year, beating out other major titles such as Dragon Age 2 and Dead Space 2. According to the sales figures, the Xbox 360 was the most popular console too, thoroughly dominating the PS3 and PC.

The 360 accounts for 57% of Crysis 2's sales, with the PS3 taking 29% and the PC raking in a miserable 14%. Maybe they were too busy torrenting it or something.

This news is notable for the fact that Crysis was always a major PC title and being able to run it was the hallmark of a powerful gaming computer. PC fans have been upset at the console inclusion, blaming it for "dumbing down" the game and not looking pretty enough without manual tweaking.

I wouldn't expect EA to care much now, though, since the PC is apparently not where the money is. Can't fault people for wanting their games to actually sell, y'know?

CD projekt put The Witcher 2 on the 360 does that mean I am going to stop supporting them? no that means that my favorite developer is getting richer and will last longer in this economy.

Puddlejumper754719d ago (Edited 4719d ago )

Cant expect people to line up to buy a crap product. Sure on console but PC is the crown of gaming. If you cant bring your A game as a Developer just stay in the minors with PS3/360

Pretty sure if a developer released a Wii game on PS3/360 without doing anything to improve the graphics or game itself you console fanboys would do the exact same thing PC guys did with Crysis 2 and pass it by all while crying foul.

Cant fault people for wanting the product to be worth the price they are asking for it.

Definitely would be nice to have it on Wii U.

I had no idea that Bad Company 2 was still running, and only now that I know, I want to jump on! 😥

I was able to find games in the Vietnam dlc on ps3 the last week. There were articles on here about the server closure when it was announced in April

DaReapa564d ago

BF1943 is the only online MP game that I was genuinely interested in. Been playing since launch 14 years ago. Hate that I couldn't put in as much time to play as I'd hoped for during the final week.

Inverno564d ago

I got really into 43 when I bought Bf3, and preferred it. Everything that I disliked or found annoying about Bf3, wasn't an issue in 43. Too bad they never bothered releasing it on PS4 or PC.

1nsomniac564d ago (Edited 564d ago )

Dead Space 2...... I wasn't even aware that had multiplayer. Nevermind that it was apparently one of their best multiplayers!

anast564d ago

Once people stop buying micros, these companies close the doors.

Xenial564d ago

Dead Space 2 multiplayer had been hanging on for years - I'd boot my PS3 up to see some familiar names in lobbies. This will definitely be missed!

Yep. Wait a couple of years and get this level of performance on a RTX 4070 or 4080 at a much lower price.

Killer73nova1712d ago

And wait a couple more years for rtx 5070 or 5080 at a much much lower price

Yung-T1712d ago (Edited 1712d ago )

That headline is a tad misleading.
The rig stated in that YouTube video is extremely high-end (ryzen 3950x oc, 32gb etc) and utilizing special water-cooling solutions, loops with pumps etc.

This rig easily costs 5k+ and a normal pc with a RTX 3090 wouldn't get close to these framerates or sustainable temperatures.

Aggesan1712d ago

Who has a "normal" pc with a RTX 3090?

Yung-T1712d ago (Edited 1712d ago )

There's still a difference between a high-end GPU+CPU and a custom-made water cooling system including a Waterloop&pumps etc though, it allows for much higher performance due to the better temperature management that would fry the GPU&CPU with normal builds.

lonewolf101712d ago

That's why people need to read the articles, most headlines are just to get you to click.

Rainbowcookie1712d ago

You would think yes, but honestly does it happen often 🤣 enough

I_am_Batman1712d ago (Edited 1712d ago )

Most of the threads of the 3950x were barely utilized and none of the games that were tested allocated more than ~12.5GB of system memory. Gaming at 8k is pretty much as GPU bound as you can get so you won't need a water cooled high-end CPU or 32GB of memory.

Psychotica1712d ago (Edited 1712d ago )

How does the cost of the PC make the headline misleading?

Father__Merrin1712d ago

Mega powerful video card but the games you can play on that card are all available elsewhere. I want to see compelling pc only goty material titles ASAP

Psychotica1712d ago

And where else can you run them in 8K or even in 4K with the same level of performance?

averagejoe261712d ago

Who cares? Nobody has 8k screens and the majority don't even have 4k screens.

This push for pointless high resolution is ruining progress. Give us better framerates, lighting, physics, etc. Stop wasting power on needles 8k.

lonewolf101712d ago

@averagejoe26

There are people with 8k monitors though.

Bender65021712d ago

And still we can't escape 30fps.

JCOLE131951712d ago

I mean given the fact the games are running at 8K it doesn’t surprise me...

MrDead1712d ago

DLSS 2.0 no doubt has a big part in this too, The Witcher 3, Horizon Zero Dawn and Death Stranding run like a dream on my 3080, 4k ultra set to 60fps no drops or stutters and the system runs very quiet. Playing Borderlands 3 on badass settings, Red Dead or Division 2 on 4k ultra all run great (Red Dead has a few drops below 60fps) but my PC is working a lot harder on games that don't utilise DLSS, my room warms up nicely when playing those games.
