News: The AI partners that accompany the player through Resident Evil 6 won’t use up your resources like they did in Resident Evil 5, says producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi.
Hmm, been thinking that Ai partner was a bad Idea for horror, but then I remembered back when I played RE2. "Why the **** are Leon and Clair splitting up again?"
It IS a bad idea for horror...they spilt up because Claire wanted to find her brother, Chris It didn't concern Leon and she went her own way while keeping in contact with him so she could easily meet up again with him
Zombie apocalypse - split up - bad idea - always Yes I understand it is for the horror atmosphere, but no excuse other than that is viable for splitting up. Leon and clair could stuck together and done both of their objectives at the same time, either way they'd be both exploring be going around the police station/ It was illogical ok, but your right, it was for horror over anything
Having someone with you, comforts you. Which is bad for horror. You're usually afraid, when you're alone. @VanillaBear: During RE2, the inevitable split up was the car crash. But once inside the Police Station, Leon tells Claire that Chris isn't here in the city, and reveals the diary. After that, they split up again to "cover more ground" for an escape. Especially since Leon is a cop, it's unrealistic that they would split up. I'm not complaining, since RE games always had characters split up and I prefered it that way. I'm just clearing up what Irishguy95 meant.
Oh well if thats the case then I guess this makes things all better now....sorry Capcom for doubting you /s ANYWAY Like I'm going to beleive them...this is the start of the PR bullcrap now since they've realised RE6 hasn't went down well with the old RE fans. Let the lies begin. "“So we took a step back in RE 6 and how we were going to change that so that people don’t feel stressed like they did in Resident Evil 5.” Or...and bare with me on this, you could of just removed co-op completely. It's like they looks at the problems with RE5 but tried to force us to like them rather then actually change them.
The game itself is a waste of resources.
When u play single player the AI should not be with u..... thats what i hated about resident evil 5 i mean how hard would it be just too make it like that and just have the AI in the cut scene only... i mean Dead space 3 u can play the story mode alone.
i dont remeber noticing my resources being taken in re5 then again its been awhile and i been playing alot of resident evil games all canon stuff anyways including parts of umbrella chronicles and darkside currently on code veronica X now
I don't know if this happened to anyone else in RE5, but I had a lot of trouble with Sheva always taking the green herbs/first aid sprays and wasting them when they didn't need to be used. Sometimes I'd only have a tiny bit of health missing and she'd use an entire first aid spray on me. :/ I think I ended up stockpiling them in my own inventory just so she wouldn't keep wasting them.
When you get a first aid spray and you have Sheva hold on to it because your inventory is full, and when you get minimal damage from an enemy, you can bet Sheva will use the spray on you. Ugh... I hated that!
Everyone who have spoken to isn't getting this, its eerie : |
Tbh, I'm surprised Capcom are going down the co-op route again, considering how many complaints there were about Sheva and her AI. I can understand one of the characters having a partner in RE6, but all three?? Why not make at least one of the missions solo? Or even give the single-player fans the option to play with no partner. Surely Capcom could figure out a way to implement that into the game without screwing up the story.
well looking at what i saw of re6 so far that would require a bit of change to the story, frankly the game is in too deep to go about changing the gameplay now then again to me it seems like jake and sherry being together is essiental, chris seems like he could just go solo and leon would have one of those go solo most of the game to meet up with your co-op AI but yeah like i said
I think the problem with optional co-op is that the levels would still be designed with co-op in mind, which would make the game feel crap if you were going solo. It's like the DS3 argument, "Oh it's optional"...but it dosen't hide the other problems with the game or is going to make it better, it's going to be good the levels have still been designed with the feature in mind. Honestly if they wanted two characters together again then they should of both had their own story. Leon would of been the main one, the second characters playthrough would of been shorter but fill in plotholes and then Adas seperate ways section would wrapped things up. If people really wanted a co-op game then they should go play Borderlands or L4D.
how many here read the topic title, then post a comment on what they think it might correspond to?
they won't waste resources now, but they will still be annoying as phuck. no thanks!
The prob is I dont want co-op at all mothafcker! at least not in single play, remove the co-op completely from single play also remove regenerative health & bring back the scares the puzzles & the survival factor u have ruin RE with your retarded choices that's not RE it's Gears of Evil a generic third person shooter FU CRAPCOM!
