WTF is Nasne?

@Pirate - Thanks, thought it was the name of the leaked new PS3 slim.

zeal0us4452d ago (Edited 4452d ago )

From the looks of it, it look like the rumor new PS3. The pics from a few weeks showed some kind of ps device with no disc drive on the front of it.

iJihaD4452d ago

I Guess it'd have better sales if it also recorded PS3 gameplay.. Duh, Sony.

TacoTaru4452d ago

Nasne? Sounds like something you spray up your nose to clear you sinuses. Nah, can't be.

A company with a conscious. They could have released it, and denied that anything was wrong.

If that is true then why did they release the Playstation Display. That is the most faulty product on the market. I haven't sold one that hasn't been returned in their first 6 months due to hardware failure. Not to mention how can you say you stand by a product that only has a 90 day warranty for a display. Also lets not forget they waited a week to let everyone know our credit card info was stolen or potentially stolen. Im a fan of the playstation brand, but they arent flawless.

Neko_Mega4452d ago

The fail rate of PS3 was at best 14%, which is lower then 360's 54% fail rate. Having that big of a fail rate world wide is a bad thing, kind of the reason I like Sony products more.

Plus if you don't want something that will must likely fail on you, don't buy the first wave of it then. Could save you alot of trouble, like the PS2 had when it came out.

BABYLEG4452d ago (Edited 4452d ago )

In America we create then innovate.. in Asia they just Chug along and stay stagnant. Look at all the Asian countries without US influence.. they just live a long life of nothing and then die. In America, we perfect. Other countries imitate.

Yall ain't gonna sit here and disrespect. As bad as we are, we're light years ahead of those other dusty ass countries. The shit I got 12 years ago is in theaters now over there.

Rainoffire4452d ago

In reply to Babyleg.
Yet a large amount of technology still comes out of the Asian countries.

Japan has a proper railway system, that is far more advance compared to the US. Samsung pumps out brilliant displays in monitors or TV. The best cameras come from Japan. And most Manufacturing has been out source to China.

In theaters? Are you only talking about how movies take time to arrive in foreign countries?

Europe and Asia have a far greater internet connection available to to public at much affordable rate. Cars far more efficient and reliable compared to USDM, V8 15mpg isn't very pleasant... Foriegn countries have even started doing ECO efforts long before the The US. America perfect? Far from it. The US influence? Yes it is there, but it is more a cultural effect, like fashion and phrases.

The US is far ahead of many, in terms of military advancement. Trying to fix other countries problems instead of its own domestic affairs.

TBM4451d ago

I'm american and can't believe babyleg actually said that crap. america does nothing of the sort, and if it actually did do what he claims he needs to explain our HORRIBLE internet infrastructure, our crappy car making skills.

we dont perfect a goddamn thing here in america.

TBM4451d ago (Edited 4451d ago )

@babyleg

also explain to me if we're so perfect why it take my friend more than 3hrs to get home from work here in NYC after a rainstorm cause of water on the tracks.

i'll take a product made overseas to an american made product 99% of the time.

i actually wanted one of these

Godmars2904452d ago

No point in having one unless you're in Japan. Or Europe for matter.

Given the structure of US cable companies its just too problematic.

nukeitall4452d ago (Edited 4452d ago )

I don't know, I think MS is coming out with DVR functionality in the US. It certainly was indications of it, but I have feeling it is delayed and will be rolled into the next Xbox.

Godmars2904452d ago

MS is trying to supplant cable by becoming a new cable service. Likely holes to strong arm their way in once a certain in the general market is reached, but its arguable they'll ever reach that point.

Soldierone4452d ago

No. This is the exact reason MS is securing deals with companies like ESPN, to provide their own service.

Cable companies are run like a bunch of idiots, and those idiots pay even bigger idiots to get channels.....look at DirecTV fighting with greedy Viacom right now....

Sony's Nasne Release Delay Due To Broken Hard Drives

Andriasang.com

''SCE has issued a statement regarding the delayed release of the Nasne peripheral. This is the difference between Sony and Microsoft. MS would have released his with the broken HDD if it were thiers. It's a shame how such a dishonest company is so successful. Guess that's the only way to succeed in this world.

dazzrazz4452d ago

Oh noes like most of fat PS3 units did not die from shitty blur ray drive lenses or YLOD

Best4452d ago

Yep, it's official, QA is out the door with Sony.

justpassinggas4452d ago (Edited 4452d ago )

@dazzrazz:

It has been shown countless times that the RROD defect was inherent to every 360 that was released in at least the first two years of production. The product was broken right out of the box. It was of pandemic proportions. On the other hand, the YLOD is not as infamous as the RROD simply because it hasn't happened at nearly as big a scale as the RROD. I still have my phat PS3 and it is working perfectly fine. Can't say that about the 360 for myself or for any of my friends who have all had to get replacements for their original 360s at least 3 times and a few just outright bought the newer version to save them the hassle!

cstyle4452d ago

That maybe true but at he same time, sony can't really afford to handle the fallout from faulty hardware. They can't afford to pay out a billion dollars the way a cash rich corp like ms or apple can.

WeskerChildReborned4452d ago

Oh well that's reasonable but wow that's bad luck that they decide to break down before it was about to launch lol.

IHateYouFanboys4452d ago

i dont understand why it doesnt have a removable HDD, yet you can plug in external HDDs? if youre going to make it a NAS, make it a NAS instead of just half-arsing it. a NAS with 500gb is completely pointless.

limiting the streaming of PlayTV/Torne to only Sony devices is also a typical sony BS move. why not let the 10s of millions of iOS/android device owners stream it?
