CVG - Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD review: Feels like a 12-year-old game

CVG - The times, they are a-changin'. In this XBLA-bound reworking of the first two Tony Hawk's Pro Skater games built on an entirely new HD engine, you don't collect secret VHS tapes anymore; you collect DVD's. And you can do it as Tony Hawk's son Riley.

This review is stupid, he complains the game is missing features from THPS4, THPS3, and other sequels. THIS IS A HD REMAKE OF THE FIRST THPS GAME, NOT THE OTHER ONES!

secretcode2336d ago

Incorrect. The game is not a remake of THPS1. The game is a remake of 1+2, with tracks from Downhill Jam added on, with THPS3 content coming later as DLC.

Then why controls are not the same? And falling animations is plane stupid. Music, only 14 tracks and the songs are not restarting on retry. So it's feels like listening radio or iPod, just WTF! And don't even mention lack of content, game is over in couple hours.

But wait, Activision is making DLC! Thanks!

Still 4.5/10 is to low.

Well, it doesn't feel like a 12 year old game, that's the problem. Just give us the thps games as a remastered hd collection. That's all we want. No DLC bullshit, we want split screen too.

In a few years, Activision will give us a "Remastered" Guitar Hero, and when Call of Duty dies, a few years later, we will get a "Remastered" CoD game. You know you're being greedy when you're milking a cow for all you can get, but it just gets pathetic when you're still milking that cow when it's dead.

CrazyInsane2336d ago

how could they mess up a remake ? It would have been much better to just rerelease the original one without a remake!

milking at its finest right here.
